Donald Glover is enjoying working with Malia Obama in the writer’s room of his in-the-works Amazon series. “Her writing style is great,” he said in an interview with Vanity Fair. Glover hired Obama last year for his Beyoncé-inspired television series, which used the working title Hive. “She’s just like, an amazingly talented person. It looks like that upcoming Mr. and Mrs Smith reboot with Phoebe Waller-Bridge isn’t the only thing Donald Glover has in the works at Amazon Prime. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glover has signed a multiple-year, eight-figure deal with Amazon — and apparently he’s brought Malia Obama (!) onboard as a staff writer for one of his first projects there. This deal has reportedly been in the works for weeks now.
