Trader in court for allegedly stealing colleague’s cell phone

A 45-year-old trader, Obiemeke Felix, who allegedly stole a cell phone worth N240,000 belonging to his colleague, on Thursday appeared in a Wuse Zone 6 Magistrates’ Court . The police charged Felix, who lives in Suleja, Niger State, for theft. The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Peter Ejike, of the FCT Command Abuja, told the court that Rapheal Ikechukwu of the Federal Housing Lugbe, Abuja, reported the matter at Wuse Zone 3, Police Station on Dec. 30, 2020. Victor Giwa: AGF Malami ordered my arrest for refusing to implicate Ibrahim Magu

A lawyer, Victor Giwa, says the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), ordered his arrest because he refused to implicate the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu. Giwa said this in a statement on Sunday after he was released from the EFCC custody. The lawyer was arrested alongside one Fatima Hassan last week shortly after they testified before the Justice Ayo Salami-led panel which is investigating Magu. FCTA suspends issuance of building plan approvals for Lugbe district

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has suspended the processing and issuance of building plan approvals for Lugbe and all on-going developments in the district. The Director, Department of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, made the disclosure in a statement issued to journalists on Sunday in Abuja. Galadima explained that the suspension had become necessary due to the ongoing harmonisation of developments in the district with the Abuja Master Plan. ICPC declares former staff wanted over fraudulent practices

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has declared one Gloria Obioma Elih, a former staff wanted for allegedly demanding and receiving gratification from officials of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources who were being investigated. The ICPC disclosed this in a statement released on Tuesday via its official Twitter account stating that Criminal charges were filed against Elih, who was also a former staff of the commission before an FCT High Court presided over by Hon. Justice Adeniyi.
