On Saturday during a music festival, Drakeo was fatally stabbed backstage in Los Angeles as investigators are still seeking answers. According to The Los Angeles Times and several other outlets, Drakeo the Ruler, given name Darrell Caldwell, was among several acts at the Once Upon A Time In L.A. concert featuring headliners Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Ice Cube among others. Marilyn Manson’s Home Raided Amid Abuse Investigation

Authorities searched the home of rocker Marilyn Manson on Monday after allegations of physical and sexual abuse by several women. Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Eva Jimenez said a search warrant was served on the home of Manson, whose legal name is Brian Hugh Warner. She would give no further details. The Sheriff’s Department said in February that its detectives had begun investigating Manson over reports of domestic violence between 2009 and 2011 in West Hollywood, where he lived at the time. Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center is getting a new name. Effective December 25th, the multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue will be known as the Crypto.com Arena. The arena had been known as the STAPLES Center since its opening in 1997. It is the current home of NBA franchises the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, as well as of the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL and Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. In between sporting events, the STAPLES Center hosts many concerts, with Tyler the Creator, Kacey Musgraves, Journey, and The Weeknd among the bevy of artists who are set to play at the arena in the coming months. Los Angeles Mandates Full COVID-19 Vaccination for Indoor Concerts and Movie Theaters

Los Angeles is the latest municipality to pass a broad mandate requiring proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter indoor concerts, movie theaters, restaurants, gyms, nail salons, coffee shops, and more. Proof of a recent negative COVID test will not be accepted instead. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the ordinance passed the council on an 11-2 vote, and is expected to take effect November 4th. Los Angeles Nightclubs to Require Proof of Vaccination for Entry

Patrons of Los Angeles’ nightclubs and bars will now be required to present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result for entry under a new mandate set to go into effect on October 7th. The mandate comes as COVID-19 cases in the United States have surged, and the looming threat of the Delta variant and other COVID-19 strains grows. L.A.
