Ebonyi governor sacks over 1,000 board members, aides
Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has dissolved all boards and commissions in the state with immediate effect. He announced this during his 2021 anniversary day address to the people of the state. Also sacked are management Committee members, liaison officers and local government advisory committee at all the 64 local government areas and 171 wards in the state. Also affected by the sack are all the Executive Assistants, Technical Assistants and Senior Technical Assistants to the governor. Put together, those sacked are over 1000. The sack comes barely 24 hours after the governor sacked 83 members of the state executive council. He however noted that some statutory boards are not affected by the dissolution. Kebbi governor appoints chairmen of boards, commissions, parastatals
The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has approved the appointments of nine Chairmen into the state Boards, Commissions, and Parastatals. He also appointed Hon. Garba Birnin Tudu as a member House of Assembly Service Commission. Ekiti governor send list of new commissioner-nominees to state assembly
In what appeared like a way of appeasing the aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi on Tuesday sent a list of seven new commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly. The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Funminiyi Afuye read the names of the nominees on the floor of the House of this morning. Sometime early last month, Governor Fayemi had set up a peace and reconciliation committee, led by the immediate past Chairman of the party, Chief Jide Awe, to reconcile aggrieved members of the party, who had been complaining of being sidelined in appointment and patronage.
