Kano governor expresses sadness as two die,16 injured in collapsed building

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has expressed deep sadness over the tragic death of two persons, who died as a result of a collapsed building in the state capital. The Governor, who was at the home of Mallam Mustapha Shehu at Kofar Mazugal Lungun Mai Lalle in Dala Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased persons. Two members of the family had died while 16 other relatives were rescued by neigbours and officials of the State Fire Service after the one- story building collapsed in the middle of the night, Tuesday . Gunmen storm funeral, shoot top politicians, kidnap guests in Rivers

Unknown gunmen, Saturday, stormed Banigo Isile-Ogono community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, shot sporadically and abducted several persons in a gory operation. Some of the abducted victims are identified as Sunny Hart, Thomas Allison and Theophilus Ibiama, among several others. Chairman of Bonny Local Government Council, David Irimagha and lawmaker representing Bonny Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Abinye Blessing Pepple, escaped being killed in the attack. Police kill 15 bandits, arrest 50 suspects in Katsina

The Police Command in Katsina State has killed 15 bandits and arrested 50 suspected kidnappers, bandits and cattle rustlers terrorising the people of the state. Mr Sanusi Buba, the Commissioner of Police in the state, disclosed this during a press briefing on Thursday in Katsina. Buba said that the suspects were arrested in variou ambush operations carried out by the command in different locations. He said that the police recovered nine AK 47 rifles, 20 dane guns, 20 motorcycles and two vehicles from the suspects. Police nab man for attempting to cut off woman’s breast

Police in Anambra State have arrested a 41-year-old man, one Ogbonna Nwankwo, for attempting to kill a 29-year-old woman, and cut off her breast at a motel in Ihite town, Orumba South Local Government Area of the state. The State Police PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed, who disclosed this in a statement, said the incident happened on the 2/9/2020 at about 8 am, and that the duo involved reside in the same Ihite town. Zamfara APC sets up seven-man disciplinary committee

The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a seven-man disciplinary committee to look into activities of party members working against the resolution of the APC National Executive Committee (NEC).
