Judas Priest Announce Fall 2022 US Tour with Queensrÿche
Judas Priest are continuing their “50 Heavy Metal Years” tour, announcing Fall 2022 US dates with support from Queensrÿche. The metal legends will kick off the 29-date outing on October 13th in Wallingford, Connecticut, and stay on the road through a November 29th date in Houston. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday (June 24th) via Ticketmaster, with an artist pre-sale beginning on Wednesday and an internet pre-sale beginning on Thursday (using the code DAZZLE). “Defending the heavy metal faith for fifty years,” remarked frontman Rob Halford in a press release, “the Priest is back!” Added bassist Ian Hill: “After the horrific last few years of restrictions we’ve all had to endure, what better place to break free, than the land of the free — the USA!” Advertisement Related ...
III Points Festival 2022: LCD Soundsystem and Flume Join Rosalía as Headliners
III Points Music Festival will be returning to Miami’s Mana Wynwood from October 21st to 22nd, and now its previously announced 2022 headliner Rosalía will officially be joined at the top of the line by Flume, LCD Soundsystem, and more. The two-day multimedia event is hosting one of its biggest lineups yet with over 150 artists across its typical six-stage setup as well as visual arts installations and on-site experiences. As usual, the festival blurs the line between genres with acts like James Blake, Black Coffee, Porter Robinson, Orbital, Joji, Chris Lake, Freddie Gibbs, Kenny Beats, Pink Siifu, Shygirl, and Fisher all making appearances. Tame Impala, Iggy Pop & King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard to Headline 2022 Desert Daze Festival
Desert Daze announced their 2022 festival on Monday (June 13) in celebration of their tenth installment of art and music in Southern California. This year will feature a return set from Tame Impala who had to cut off their 2018 headline set when a massive storm rolled in. Four years later, the group will perform its groundbreaking second album, Lonerism, in its entirety on the weekend of the album’s 10th anniversary. Desert Daze will take place from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 in Lake Perris, Calif. and also feature return sets from headliners Iggy Pop, who will perform his only U.S. show this year, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. The mighty Dethklok will return to the stage at the 2022 Adult Swim Festival Block Party, which is being staged on the East Coast for the first time. The three day event is taking place August 5th through 7th in Philadelphia, and will also headlining performances from Run the Jewels and Tierra Whack. Dethklok, of course, are everyone’s favorite band from the beloved Adult Swim animated series Metalocalypse. Devil Master will embark on the Summer 2022 “Hungry Jaws of Hell” North American tour in support of their recently released new album, Ecstasies of Never Ending Night. The Philadelphia outfit, which combines black metal with punk sensibilities, will hit the road starting July 8th with an appearance at Necro Fest in Brooklyn, New York. The itinerary runs through a July 23rd show in Washington, D.C. and is highlighted by a trio of Midwest shows with Hulder in the middle of the outing. On the eve of the release of their new album, Headful of Sugar — and drummer Olive Faber’s birthday, no less — Sunflower Bean finally got to headline one of their hometown’s biggest venues: Webster Hall.
