Leeds United are reportedly working to sign Celtic defender Leo Hjelde. According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites are keen on signing the left-sided centre-back this summer. Celtic full-back Matthew Anderson was also a target for the Whites but they have failed with multiple attempts to sign him. Hjelde is highly rated at Celtic and has a big future ahead of him. The 18-year-old could prove to be a superb long term investment for the Premier League club. Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign Celtic young talent, Leo Hjelde, according to reports from Football Insider. The Athletic journalist, Phil Hay claimed earlier this week that Leeds are looking at two defenders from Celtic – defenders Matthew Anderson and Leo Hjelde. The Whites, who have already signed Lewis Bate from Chelsea, are persisting in forming a junior pool in a number of positions who could make the grade in Marcelo Bielsa’s senior team in the future. The report now claim that Leeds are in advanced talks to sign Celtic rising star, and that an offer has been made already.
