Vic Mensa was arrested at Dulles International Airport in Fairfax, VA on Saturday night after allegedly being found in possession of mushrooms, LSD, and other psychedelic drugs. The Chicago rapper had just returned from a trip to Ghana when he was pulled aside by U.S. Customs Agents for a secondary search. They discovered 41 grams of LSD, 124 grams of psilocybin capsules, 178 grams of psilocybin gummies, and six grams of psilocybin mushrooms concealed inside of Mensa’s luggage. FBI Joins Astroworld Investigation, Launches Website for Evidence Collection
The FBI has joined the Houston Police Department in investigating the circumstances that led to the deadly crowd rush at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival back in November. “Houston Police Detectives have already viewed countless hours of video evidence as part of our ongoing investigation into the Astroworld event,” HPD wrote on Twitter on Friday (January 14th). “To ensure that we have captured all evidence for a complete investigation, we have parterned with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for additional technical assistance. Martin Shkreli Banned from Pharmaceutical Industry, Ordered to Repay $64.6 Million
Disgraced pharmaceutical CEO Martin Shkreli has been banned from the industry forever, and has also been ordered to return the $64.6 million in profits he made by price-gouging the drug Daraprim. The ruling in U.S. District Court in Manhattan on Friday came in response to a multi-state lawsuit accusing Shkreli of illegal and monopolistic behavior. According to the Associated Press, over the course of a seven-day trial last month, prosecutors presented recordings of conversations that appeared to show Shkreli continuing to exert control over his company, Vyera Pharmaceuticals LLC, while he was behind bars. Comedian Tiffany Haddish was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) early in the morning of January 14th. Via TMZ, she was allegedly dozing in the driver’s seat of her car, and the enormous smile in her mug shot would seem to suggest she’s not too worried about the charge. Reportedly, officers in Peachtree City, Georgia, responded to a call for a sleeping driver at about 4:00 a.m. ET on Friday morning. She was arrested for DUI and for improper stopping on a roadway. Nevermind baby Spencer Elden has refiled his lawsuit against Nirvana, weeks after a judge dismissed his initial complaint. Elden, who was famously photographed as a baby on the cover to 1991’s Nevermind, first filed a lawsuit in August 2021 against the band’s surviving members, Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love, and Nirvana associates.
