Camila Cabello Performs on SNL: Watch

Camila Cabello took over Studio 8H this weekend as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Her pair of performances, which you can watch below, came in support of her freshly-released third solo album Familia. Introduced by episode host Jake Gyllenhaal, the former Fifth Harmony member first performed a high-energy solo version of “Bam Bam,” her collaboration with Ed Sheeran. “It’s been a hell of year, thank god we made it out/ Yeah, we were riding a wave and trying not to drown/ On the surface, I held it together but I sort of came unwound/ Where would I be, you’re all that I need/ My world, you hold me down,” she sang, taking over the troubadour’s verse on the Spanish-inflected bop while flanked by backup dancers dressed in brightly colored costumes of orange and pink. Latto Performs “Big Energy” and “Sunshine” on Fallon: Watch

Breakout Atlanta rapper Latto just earned her first Top 5 hit with “Big Energy” earlier this week, and on Thursday night, she stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to play the song as part of a medley with “Sunshine” (sans guest stars Lil Wayne and Childish Gambino). Starting out with her self-described hood gospel “Sunshine,” Latto began the performance while seated to sing the chorus before getting up to rap her verse. After shedding her outside yellow gown, Latto brought out a pair of backup dancers to run through “Big Energy.” For most of the song, Latto just gyrated at the waist, but she picked up the pace toward the end and broke out some choreographed dance moves. Watch the replay below. First released in September, “Big Energy” — which shares the same sample as Mariah C...

Alt-J Perform “Hard Drive Gold” on Kimmel: Watch

Alt-J swung by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to perform “Hard Drive Gold,” a cut from their new album The Dream. Check out the performance below. Thom Sonny Green, Gus Unger-Hamilton, and lead singer Joe Newman rocked out in front of a projection screen with geometric shapes floating across it, the most common type being golden blocks. The performers stayed relatively still behind their mics, but Newman put lots of energy into his voice, having loads of fun on the long, drawn-out “brr” when he sang, “Non-shatter ruler, put it on the table and go ‘brr’/ Watch it shatter.” Check out “Hard Drive Gold” below. Back in February, Alt-J appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where the trio performed the new song “U&ME” and the 2012 classic “Breezeblocks.” The ...

For April Fools’ Day, the two late-night hosts traded places, with Fallon hosting Kimmel’s show and Kimmel hosting Fallon’s. For their performance on Kimmel, Chili Peppers ripped through “These Are The Ways” from the roof of Los Angeles’ Roosevelt Hotel. As you can see in the screen grab above, at one point frontman Anthony Kiedis scaled the hotel’s sign Meanwhile, on The Tonight Show, Chili Peppers served up “Black Summer” from a small sound stage. Replay it all below. Both late-night performances also featured a tribute to Taylor Hawkins, as the Foo Fighters drummer’s name appeared on the head of Chad Smith’s bass drum. Advert...

Rosalía Talks MOTOMAMI, Wrong-Number Texts from Harry Styles on Fallon: Watch

Rosalía stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night to chat about her upcoming album MOTOMAMI and laugh about a wrong-number text from Harry Styles. Watch the interview below. After teaching host Jimmy Fallon how to properly pronounce her name — it’s all in how you roll the ‘R’! — the Spanish singer dished on the inspiration behind the title of her new LP. “OK, so you wanna know why it’s called MOTOMAMI? ‘Cause I feel like MOTOMAMI‘s an energy. Yes, yes, like an energy. That’s what I’m saying,” she said before informing Fallon that he’s actually “probably a Motopapi, too.” Advertisement Related Video In her first U.S. late night appearance, Rosalía also regaled the audience with a hilarious story about how she once changed her phone number and Harry Styles ende...

Charli XCX Performs “Beg For You” and “Baby” on Saturday Night Live: Watch

Charli XCX finally performed as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live during this weekend’s episode hosted by Oscar Isaac. Watch the musical numbers below. The pop star first ran through a solo version of her single “Beg For You.” Sans Rina Sawayama — or recent remix collaborator VERNON of SEVENTEEN — the singer hit the stage in an all-white ensemble and long, talon-like nails, flanked by two giant hanging plastic sheets rather than backup dancers. Later in the show, Charli XCX premiered her new song “Baby” live for the first time. Recreating the track’s high-energy music video, the singer swapped out the female doppelgängers of the visual for a pair of fierce male dancers who ran through the choreography with her. “Why you tryin’ to fight what’s right?/ You know I’m ’bout to change you...

Dua Lipa Surprises 80-Year-Old Superfan on Fallon: Watch

No matter how much you love Dua Lipa, nobody adores her quite as much as Papa Richy, a man who went viral on TikTok recently after his granddaughter gifted him tickets to the pop star’s “Future Nostalgia” Tour. But the 80-year-old superfan was in for an even more personal surprise when he got to meet Lipa during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night (March 3rd), and fulfilled his dream of getting to dance with her. “We reached out to [Papa Richy] pretending that we were a radio station in new York and told him that he won a contest for the number one TikTok video of the year — he believed this, he loved it,” Fallon explained to the audience. “He thinks he’s about to be interviewed on a radio show and get a tour of 30 Rock.” Shortly after, Richy and his ...

Pinegrove Whirl Through “Cyclone” on Corden: Watch

Pinegrove made their late night television debut performing “Cyclone” on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday night. For the standout track from their new album 11:11, Pinegrove played one of the most dimly-lit sets in recent late night history. The New Jersey rockers took the stage bathed in midnight purples, their faces and hands aglow with a grape sheen. This darkness put the emphasis on the lyrics, which is arguably where the band would want us to focus anyway. Frontman Evan Stephen Halls sang, “‘Cause it’s been in my head for a long time/ And it feels wrong/ I don’t want it anymore, ah/ It spun in my head for a long time,” using a metaphor of a cyclone to depict whirling thoughts. Check it out below. Advertisement Related Video Pinegrove have plenty...

Liam Gallagher Lights Up Fallon with “Everything’s Electric”: Watch

Earlier this month, Liam Gallagher offered a preview of his forthcoming solo album C’MON YOU KNOW with the lead single “Everything’s Electric.” Last night, the former Oasis singer brought the song’s spark to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as the evening’s musical guest. Considering he once led one of the best Britpop bands in history, Gallagher doesn’t need much to electrify a stage. Even with Dave Grohl absent (the Foo Fighters frontman plays drums in the studio recording), “Everything’s Electric” has the power to bring arena-sized magic into a compact TV studio. Watch Gallagher perform on Fallon below. C’MON YOU KNOW, Gallagher’s third solo album, is due out May 27th. Gallagher isn’t the only ex-Oasis member with new solo music out. Recently, he shared his hon...

Jillian Rose has declared a Banks holiday: The pop artist’s new album, Serpentina, arrives April 8th, and to celebrate the announcement she debuted the song “Holding Back” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Banks took the ABC stages in a modern three-piece suit: slacks, blazer, and cutaway bra. Alongside four backup dancers with covered faces, she writhed and twisted her way through the apologetic banger. “Love is holding back,” she sang, “I know I’ve done you wrong.” Check out the performance below. This is the latest preview of Serpentina following her two summer singles from last year, the slowed-down “Skinnydipped” and the deliciously sinful “The Devil.” In a statement, Banks explained how she arrived at the title of her next album, writing, “Snakes represent rebirth and th...
