Source: KanyeWest.com / Kanye West Kanye West was in his bag this weekend. The “Spaceship” rapper turned a Chicago Gap store into a mural, covering it with a shroud than includes an open letter about his collab with the retailer. On Friday morning (June 26), West announced that his Yeezy clothing line was partnering with the Gap, and he started dropping content from then on. From finally dropping the unreleased “Spaceship” video, where he portrays a Gap employee (which he actually was back in the day), to his cartoon with Kid Cudi to a documentary about his Yeezy Supply website’s redesign, West’s social media feed was busy. But his play at the Gap in Chicago along the Magnificent Mile and located at 555 Michigan Avenue could be the biggest move, at least physically, as he shrouded the enti...

In a new interview with i-D, Kanye West spoke with fellow studio wizard and Neptunes mastermind Pharrell Williams, comparing his own impact to that of Michael Jackson. “It felt like you really tore down the walls and the doors much like Michael Jackson did a generation before, and in a way, he’s very similar to Michael Jackson, in the ways where Michael Jackson was doing covert, super gangsta stuff, like he’d just pop the needles off,” West said during their conversation. “He kissed Elvis Presley’s daughter on MTV. Black culture used to be… we used to be fronting all night, but Michael was doing stuff that was different to what we were programmed to understand as being what we should do.” And after the compliment, West spoke on Jackson’s influence, later drawing parallels between thei...
Source: Michelle Thorpe – PA Images / Getty It seems that Kanye West‘s plans for his childhood home aren’t coming to fruition without a few problems after the city of Chicago halted renovation to the old crib. According to the Chicago Tribune, Kanye West has run into trouble with the city of Chicago while in the midst of renovating the South Side home he grew up in. The city issued a stop-work order in February after it said it found plaster had been removed without a building permit. This makes the second time that the city has filed a citation against the tan house located at 7815 S. South Shore Dr. after it reportedly landed in demolition court last year after the city claimed it had “dangerous and unsafe conditions.” Work has since resumed on the property since the latest issue, t...
Source: Theo Wargo / Getty Once an internet sensation with the release of “Panda,” Desiinger went from potential Hip-Hop star when he signed with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label to arguably another rap one-hit wonder (no shots). Now in his first interview in a minute, Desiigner revealed to the Everyday Struggle team why he wanted to leave the label that Yeezus built and and actually pointed to Kanye’s pivot to Christian music as a reason he felt he needed to move on. “Being with G.O.O.D Music, I was happy and sh*t, but then it was like kinda weird with certain sh*t,” Desiigner explained. After revealing that the comparisons to ...
Source: Splash / Splash News Kanye West is a multi-billionaire, allegedly. Nevertheless, it seems like someone in the Yeezy camp neglected to pay a bill, and now Mr. West’s company is getting sued for it.
