French dance duo Justice is seeking legal justice from Justin Bieber over the singer’s forthcoming LP, which is titled Justice, and uses a logo similar to Justice’s trademarked “cross” band logo. “The morning Bieber announced his album [Feb. 26], it was pretty tough to miss,” Justice’s co-manager Tyler Goldberg of Jet Management told Rolling Stone. “Aside from seeing it all over the internet ourselves, we heard from hundreds of people throughout the day — industry people, Justice fans — and the Justice guys received a ton of messages, not only compelled to point out the similarities between the Justice Justin Bieber album, but confused. ‘Is this a Justice collaboration?’” <!– // Brid Player Singles. var _bp = _bp||[]; _bp.push({ “div”: “B...
Justin Bieber has enlisted the production talents of Skrillex and Virtual Riot for Justice, his upcoming sixth studio album. The two bass music heavyweights join TroyBoi, who was recently announced as a collaborator on one of the album’s bonus tracks. Both Skrillex and Virtual Riot are credited on the album’s opener, “2 Much,” which also curiously lists the late Martin Luther King Jr. as a writer. Fans are safe to expect a spoken word sample from the legendary civil rights activist along with pop-leaning production from the Skrillex and Virtual Riot tandem. Skrillex also appears on two additional Justice cuts, “Somebody” and the Burna Boy-assisted “Loved By You.” The former boasts OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder ...
Justin Bieber has tapped one of electronic music’s most gifted producers for his newest album. The Biebs, who has long championed dance music producers over the course of his storied career, recruited the help of none other than TroyBoi for sixth studio album, Justice. The trap music star will feature on an exclusive bonus track called “Redeye,” joining a star-studded affair that has become routine for the world’s highest-selling artist born in 1990 or later. Joining him as collaborators on Justice are Chance the Rapper, Khalid, and Benny Blanco, among other contemporary music luminaries. It’s also worth noting that Troyboi, who was named one of EDM.com‘s Best Music Producers of 2020, is listed as a featured artist in the t...
Last week, Justin Bieber announced the title for his new album, Justice, but the artwork for it looks awfully similar to the logo for a certain Grammy-winning electronic duo. Justice is set to be the pop star’s sixth studio album. An outspoken Christian, Bieber leans into his faith, marking the “t” in the word as a cross. The only problem? We’ve seen this before. It’s the same design French duo Justice has used for its official logo since forming in 2003. SPIN reached out to the duo’s management for comment, who responded with the following: “Bieber’s team emailed us in May of 2020, asking to be looped in with Justice’s graphic designer to discuss a logo. We tried to set up a call between Bieber’s team and our designer, but the call was never completed and the conversation ended there...
Andrew Watt has learned to accept change. The Long Island-born, L.A.-based producer has had a monster year, even if his body yearns for its younger days. “I think my body just woke up and said you have to pee now!” Watt tells SPIN. “Before I turned 30, I’d work in the afternoon all through the night. Now, I’m up at 8:30 and laying down tracks by 10.” It’s certainly been a whirlwind year for Watt. At the top, he produced Ozzy Osbourne’s latest solo album, Ordinary Man, which featured a wide array of guests (like Watt’s pal Post Malone, Elton John, Slash and Tom Morello), along with a band that included Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan. A recent Instagram post from Justin Bieber has fans drooling at the thought of another mega-collaboration between him and Skrillex. In the post, the Canadian pop star shared a pair of pictures of himself with the pioneering music producer and several other creatives, ostensibly bouncing ideas off one another. In addition to Skrillex, included in the group shot are Poo Bear, Jon Bellion, Maejor, and Ant Clemons, among others. Most dance and pop music fans remember the duo’s chart-topping run in 2015. At the beginning of the year, Bieber teamed up with Skrillex and Diplo‘s supergroup, Jack Ü, for the release of the ever-popular “Where Are Ü Now.” The end of the year, on the other hand, saw Skrillex produce several songs on Bieber’s fifth...

This year’s BBMAs are based on the chart period of March 23, 2019 through March 14, 2020. Source: Kevin Mazur/BBMA2017 / Getty It was a long time in the making but finally DJ Khaled and Drake have finally come together to drop some new visuals for their collaboration cut, “Popstar.” However, Drake is relegated to shooting his part from the comfort of his Canadian home due to the Coronavirus shutting down travel from the all sides of the border. Luckily for Drizzy he has a little pull in the music game and recruits non other than fellow Mountie, Justin Bieber to fill in for him and recite his verse throughout the visuals as he throws a soiree at his mansion with tons of guests and no masks to be seen. Super spreader event? Regardless of the Rona, the video was pretty damn funny and entertaining. Check out the visuals to Director X’s “Popstar” below and let us know if Justin Bieb...
Justin Bieber has denied the accusations of sexual assault that a woman said happened during SXSW on March 9, 2014. The woman, who goes by “Danielle,” detailed on Twitter (which has now been deleted but can be seen below) how she met the pop star at an event and he brought her and her friends back to his room at the Four Seasons in Austin before taking her to another room to have sex. She said she said she felt uncomfortable and asked him to stop. In another set of tweets, another woman accused Bieber of sexual assault in New York City in 2015. Bieber issued a lengthy response to the SXSW accusation on Twitter, but not the second one. “I don’t normally address things as I have dealt with random accusations my entire career but after talking with my wife and team I have decided to speak up ...
