Jay Electronica Reappears From Mountainside Portal With “Exhibit G” Leak

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty To say that Jay Electronica is elusive would be a massive understatement but that still doesn’t dull interest in the musical happenings of the mythical lyricist. A reportedly new track titled “Exhibit G” and said to be produced by Just Blaze leaked to the Internet and the New Orleans star sounds as formidable as ever. Not much is known about “Exhibit G” other than it serves to be an extension of the other “Exhibit” tracks such as “Exhibit A,” “Exhibit B” with Yasiin Bey, and the classic “Exhibit C” that still stands as one of Jay Elec’s greatest moments. On “Exhibit G,” Electronica’s voice sits high in the mix and the production is an apt backdrop for his visual penmanship. From “Exhibit G”: Came a long way from the bottom, Our Father...

Just Blaze Shares Griselda Collab, Quickly Disappears

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty On Thursday night (March 17). Just Blaze took to the Internets to share his collab with Griselda; well, Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine. However, if you missed it, the tweet and Soundcloud link is gone. Billed as Griselda and the Blazettes Vol 1., the track sports an ill piano loop and soul vocal hits while WSG and Conway bring their usual bars and bravado. The latter’s opener won’t necessarily fly in 2022, though, just saying. Although the song was taken down, you can still find it if you really want a listen. Related Stories The mythology is that back in 2017, Griselda and Just Blaze linked up and created several songs. A couple of years ago, La Machina, who just dropped his Shady Records debut, God Don’t Make Mistakes, shared ...

Just Blaze Asks Drake To Drop “Lord Knows Pt. 2”

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty It’s been 10 years since Drake dropped his sophomore album, Take Care and a few days ago Drizzy began posting throwback pics on his IG stories to reminisce on the good ol’ days and after posting one of Just Blaze in LRG clothing, the OG producer called on Drake to release a sequel track to an album cut that no one knew existed. After peeping what Drizzy has posted, Just took it upon himself to repost one of Drizzy’s pics while writing “Sooo..Can we put out Lord Knows pt. 2 now? Sponsored by the good folks at @lrgclothing.” Word?! There’s a sequel to the classic Just Blazed produced cut? Unfortunately that was thee only time Just and Drizzy linked up for a cut, so hearing a second one would be amazing, but unfortunately Drake’s been ke...

Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Big Sean & More React To Kanye West ‘Drink Champs’ Audacity

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Kanye West set the Internet on fire after his now infamous appearance on Drink Champs. The reactions from fans were swift, and the peers he name-checked—often with at least a hint of slander (by the social media definition)—were quick to retort. Some of the MC’s that Ye dragged included Big Sean and Talib Kweli, but he made sure to big up Beanie Sigel, though. Ye clearly ain’t that far gone. Related Stories Even Jay-Z got asked what was up thanks to Ye’s dig at Just Blaze, who West called a copycat when it came to using Soul samples in his beats. We compiled a list of what everyone had to say below, for archival purposes. Does Ye’s reaction, with the OG J. Prince looking along, count? 1. Beanie Sigel is getting how much? During ...
