Jurassic World: Dominion

Jurassic World Dominion Has Us Rooting for the Dinosaurs, and That’s Probably a Bad Thing — Review

The Pitch: In a twist no one could have possibly seen coming, it turns out that releasing a wide variety of extinct species into a global ecosystem might have some negative repercussions on said global ecosystem. That’s where Jurassic World Dominion begins, four years following the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which is almost enough time for most of the world to get used to the spread of dinosaurs across the planet. But funnily enough, the most dangerous creatures in this brave new world aren’t dinosaurs — they’re bugs. Specifically, the prehistoric-sized locusts that have begun tearing through the world’s crops, which if left unchecked could have extinction-level repercussions for literally every living creature. Fortunately, Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) is doing her best t...

Watch Little Foot Perform His “Jurassic Park” Theme Remix Live From a Lush Valley In Australia

The dinosaurs of Jurassic Park are stomping to a new rhythm.  Nearly three decades after the iconic film franchise’s debut, Dave Winnel has transformed the theme into a club-ready progressive house single.  Performing under his Little Foot alias, the Australian DJ and dance music producer set up shop in a lush valley deep in the land down under to perform the track live. Originally written by legendary composer John Williams, the theme’s grandiose orchestral strings aptly continue to capture the power of the larger-than-life creatures that captivate viewers to this day. With his remix, Little Foot creates a similar sense of scale with long-form builds and breakdowns that stay true to the instantly recognizable progression of the original. He creates a measured evoluti...

It starts off 65 million years in the past, when dinosaurs were the dominant creatures on the planet. For several minutes, near silence soundtracks our look at the animals as they live peacefully, swimming in rivers and hunting for food. It’s an eerily immersive clip; shoutout to the eff...

Jurassic World: Dominion Delayed to Summer 2022

Life finds a way … as do big summer blockbusters amidst a pandemic. Alas, Universal and Amblin Entertainment have announced that they’re delaying the release of Jurassic World: Dominion by a whole year. The highly anticipated sequel will stomp away from its July 11th, 2021 release date all the way to June 10th, 2022. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dominion is “a huge priority for NBCUniversal” that involves “theme park tie-ins, merchandising partnerships, live events and more.” With so much uncertainty going into 2021, the two parties “want to ensure that deadlines for retail partners can be met.” Production is currently underway at London’s Pinewood Studios and reportedly three weeks away from completion. Back in August, the expansive shoot was profiled by The New York Times for bei...

Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum gave their fans a Jurassic-sized quarantine reunion on Monday (Sept. 7) after Neill posted videos of the two delivering duets of several classic songs, including “I Remember You” and “A Fine Romance.” The Jurassic World: Dominion stars, who are currently filming the Colin Trevorrow-directed film in the U.K., appeared side-by-side in the videos, which ran from just over one-minute to nearly three-minutes in length. Goldblum mostly played the piano and provided back-up vocals to Neill’s take on the 1962 hit “I Remember You,” which he posted to Twitter. The song was famously covered by Doris Day and originally sung by Australian country singer Frank Ifield. “It’s a day off. So we’ve been singing a bunch of old songs. ...
