The Pitch: A reboot is considered to be a death knell in the current entertainment landscape, a clear indicator of a risk-averse industry out of original ideas and desperate to recycle old ones to save themselves from major financial loss. Most reboots simply pander and rehash their concepts in order to satisfy their fanbases. If at some point over the past year or so, you’ve found yourself overwhelmed by the number of TV reboots, then you’re not alone. Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville, and Judy Greer play a trio of bygone sitcom stars in Hulu’s aptly-titled forthcoming series Reboot, which gets its official trailer today. Jamie Lee Curtis is back on her live-watch game. Today, Universal announced it will be taking over weekends with a series of Twitter watch parties, and Laurie Strode herself will kick things off this Saturday, May 16th with 2018’s Halloween.
