Super League: UEFA begins disciplinary proceedings against Barca, Real Madrid, Juventus
UEFA have announced that disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus for a potential violation of their legal framework. The decision comes following an investigation conducted by UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors in connection with the so-called Super League project, and further information will be made available in due course, according to their statement. The three are the last men standing in the Super League project. Barcelona prospective presidential candidate Victor Font has claimed that the club are “bankrupt” and that the club’s wage bill situation is now at a critical stage. Inter president Steven Zhang has held talks with Lionel Messi’s representatives over a potential move as well as Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
