The Minister of Water Resources, Mr Suleiman Adamu, has said that Nigerians are being misinformed about the Water Resources Control Bill. The minister made the statement while interfacing with the House of Representatives Committee on Water Resources in Abuja, following the public outcry that trailed the passage of the bill. A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Obadiah Mailafia, says his life is in danger. Mailafia was reacting to the third invitation extended to him by the Department of State Services. Police arrest father of six for ‘rape’ of 13-year-old girl
The Police in Jos have arrested a 39-year-old businessman, Abdul Abdul, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl after buying N20 sachet water in her mother’s makeshift store. Abdul, a married man and father of six who resides in Bukuru, Jos South Local Government Area, allegedly committed the crime on June 8, when he went into the shop to buy water.
