World’s biggest podcaster Joe Rogan has a ‘lot of hope’ for crypto

Controversial comedian and commentator Joe Rogan said that he “has a lot of hope” for cryptocurrencies in a recent podcast interview. In the 1760th Jan. 8 episode of his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan discussed the future of crypto with fellow podcaster, Adam Curry. Rogan’s podcast has an estimated 11 million listeners per episode, despite Spotify’s attempts to censor some of the more offensive episodes. Rogan, whose podcast took the top spot as most popular on Spotify during 2021, stated: “It’s either going to fall apart completely, or we’re going to use this as an opportunity to right the ship and come up with a better way to live our lives,” Curry is the host of right-wing podcast “No Agenda” which has been criticized by the mainstream media and medical community for promoti...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: YouTube (Supplied by WENN) / WENN Podcast host and controversial media figure Joe Rogan went on the record to claim that if former First Lady Michelle Obama were to run for President in 2024, that she’d win. Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, he surprised listeners by stating that he felt that if Michelle Obama were to choose to run in the 2024 presidential campaign, that she’d be successful. “She’s great, she’s articulate, she’s intelligent, she’s the wife of the best President that we have had in our lifetime … she can win,” he said. He also quipped that if she were to run with current Vice President Kamala Harris on the same ticket it would be a “double dose of diversity.” Of course, Rogan went on to throw cold water on his prediction by dec...

Unvaccinated Joe Rogan Cancels 4/20 Show in Canada, Can’t Even “Get into the Country”

Joe Rogan was forced to cancel his sold-out 4/20 show in Vancouver, Canada because the unvaccinated podcast host is unable to meet the country’s COVID-19 requirements for travelers. Via Exclaim, Rogan first raised the possibility of cancellation during the December 24th episode of his podcast. “I should probably say this because I haven’t yet,” he told the show’s guest Tim Dillon. “My 4/20 show that’s sold-out in Vancouver, I don’t think that that’s happening. I don’t even think I can get into the country. I’m not vaccinated. I’m not gonna get vaccinated.” In lieu of the jab, Rogan thinks the fact that he previously caught COVID-19 should be enough. “I have antibodies. It doesn’t make any sense. I don’t think I can go, and even if I do go, I don’t trust that Vancouver is not...

Joe Rogan on Sucking His Own Dick: “I’ve Put it Around My Face Just to Know I Could”

Joe Rogan says he’s in charge of his own body, and this time it has nothing to do with the COVID-19 vaccine. In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the comedian and podcast host claimed he could perform oral sex on himself. Rogan had been explaining how he goes about shaving his own asshole, saying, “I spread my legs apart and I go head between the legs.” His interlocutors Ari Shaffir, Mark Normand, and Shane Gillis expressed doubt, to which Rogan replied, “I could suck my own dick if I wanted to.” Rogan added, “I’m super flexible. I’ve never done it but I’ve put it around my face just to know I could do it.” As the three other men howled in protest, Rogan insisted. “I can flatten my body out. You know I can. You remember that time when Burt said ‘can you do a split’ an...

Dave Chappelle & Joe Rogan Appear At Sold-Out Show In New Orleans

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Samir Hussein / Getty Dave Chappelle is having a moment, but it isn’t the victory lap some might have expected considering that he’s just ended his run of specials for Netflix for the foreseeable future. After attracting the ire of the LGBTQ community for his jokes in past specials, most especially The Closer, the veteran comedian performed this week in New Orleans alongside another maligned funnyman in Joe Rogan. As reported by NOLA.com, Chappelle and Rogan performed Thursday (October 28) at the Smoothie King Center and the Washington, D.C. native boasted of being on the “canceled” list while shattering attendance records. According to the outlet, Chappelle and Rogan’s spot date did indeed break records after selling the most tickets for a single event e...

Leave The Horse Paste Alone: A Quick Ivermectin Explainer

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Bloomberg / Getty Ivermectin is dominating the headlines these days, with contorversial podcast host Joe Rogan claiming that he used it in a cocktail of drugs when he found out he had COVID-19 among others who’ve been buying up boxes of the stuff. This mass of people spurred on by right-wing figures and conspiracy theorists have chosen to take it as opposed to the free, tested and vetted vaccines that have been available. For those who don’t fully know what Ivermectin is, here’s a quick explainer for clarity. What Is Ivermectin and What Does It Do? Ivermectin is a drug that’s part of the class of anthelmintic medications, which are substances that help the body purge itself of worms and other internal parasites. It commonly can be found in paste or tablet...

Joe Rogan Caught COVID-19 and Took Unproven Horse Dewormer Ivermectin

A few months after doing an about face on his vaccine stance, Joe Rogan has said he caught COVID-19 while on tour. And because he’s what we’ll call a “counter-mainstream” podcast host, of course Rogan took the unproven horse dewormer ivermectin as part of his treatment regimen. What, he couldn’t get his hands on some hydroxychloroquine? If you haven’t heard, ivermectin is an anti-parasitic medication mainly used to treat horses but also, in smaller doses, to fight river blindness and intestinal roundworms in people. Now, obviously, a virus is not a worm, so why anti-vax and right wing personalities have latched onto ivermectin as a possible cure for COVID-19 is down to more of the usual “don’t be a sheep” herd mentality. Of course, Rogan is a hugely successful and wealthy comedian, so woul...

Dave Chapelle Calls Out ‘Saturday Night Live’ Cast For Low Woke Levels

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Supplied by WENN.com / WENN Whether you find him funny or not one thing that can be said about Dave Chapelle is that he speaks from the heart. In a new interview, the comedian expressed his disappointment in the Saturday Night Live cast. As spotted on Page Six the Washington, D.C. native joined Joe Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast last week. As expected their conversation touched on a multitude of topics including his historic run on Comedy Central and reacquiring the rights to Chapelle Show. While discussing Elon Musk’s upcoming guest spot on the NBC live sketch comedy show (the podcast was recorded the day prior) the two made it clear the staff wouldn’t utilize the Tesla businessman the right way. “No one is woke enough,” Rogan t...

Elon Musk says he is first SNL host with Asperger’s syndrome

Elon Musk kicked off his “Saturday Night Live” debut by declaring himself to be the first person with Asperger’s syndrome to host the US comedy sketch show. “Or at least, the first person to admit it,” he said. In his opening monologue, the eccentric tech entrepreneur behind Tesla and SpaceX offered an explanation for some of his past eyebrow-raising behavior. “Look, I know I say or post strange things but that’s just how my brain works. To anyone I’ve offended I just want to say, I reinvented electric cars and I’m sending people to Mars in a rocket ship,” he said. “Did you think I was also going to be a chill, normal dude?” Musk has previously drawn criticism for moves like publicly mocking the US Securities and Exchange Commission and calling a cave diver who rescued boys trapped in Thai...

Joe Rogan Hits Reverse on Vaccines: “I Believe They Are Safe and I Encourage Many People to Take Them”

<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-04-29T22:14:16+00:00“>April 29, 2021 | 6:14pm ET Earlier this week, Joe Rogan was roundly criticized for telling healthy young people to not get vaccinated against COVID-19, remarking on an episode of his popular podcast, “If you’re like 21 years old, and you say to me, should I get vaccinated? I go no.” Now, via The Hollywood Reporter, he’s walking back those statements, saying on the latest edition of The Joe Rogan Experience that it “makes sense” to get vaccinated to protect other people. It wasn’t quite an unequivocal apology; Rogan spent some time attacking the “click bait” instincts of the media, and questioned why anyone would listen to him in the first pl...

Joe Rogan Tells Young People Not to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-04-27T21:25:04+00:00“>April 27, 2021 | 5:25pm ET Joe Rogan, who once coached the contestants of Fear Factor through drinking donkey semen, now says that healthy young people shouldn’t be vaccinated against COVID-19. Via Media Matters, the highly compensated Spotify podcast host and all-around moron contradicted CDC guidelines on his April 23rd episode, saying, “If you’re like 21 years old, and you say to me, should I get vaccinated? I go no.” Rogan has long advocated for a kind of “thinking for yourself” that is unrecognizable as thinking: giving a platform to far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, spreading misinformation about the novel coronavirus, and repeatedly att...

Steve Albini Calls Joe Rogan and Barstool Sports “Trash Garbage”

Prolific record producer and engineer Steve Albini is known for being outspoken about the music industry’s exploitation of artists, but he doesn’t hold back when being asked about other topics, either. Oxbow frontman Eugene Robinson recently interviewed Albini for his newsletter’s “Five Easy Pieces” feature, in which he posed five questions unrelated to music. While being asked about his “Keep/Toss list” of celebrities, Albini took the opportunity to take down podcast host Joe Rogan and media company Barstool Sports, who he decried for making “trash garbage.” Albini began by criticizing transgressive art that is simply being used as “a veneer” to “justify being a fucking creep.” Name-checking Vice (co-founded by Gavin McInnes, who later founded neo-fascist organization the Proud Boys), he ...
