Source: The Washington Post / Getty Black girl magic was in full effect at the 2020 Presidential Debate after moderator Kristen Welker achieved the seemingly impossible task of maintaining order. On Thursday (Oct. 22), the nation tuned in hesitantly and unsure of what to expect of the second and final 2020 Presidential Debate after Donald Trump‘s embarrassing and abysmal performance and the first debate last month. In a high-stakes debut overseeing a presidential debate where Joe Biden and Trump faced off of for the final time before the election — taking charge of a candidate matchup that proved a bucking bronco for the previous moderator, Chris Wallace of Fox News — Ms. Welker, an NBC anchor, and correspondent, managed to restore order to a quadrennial institution that some believed coul...

After the Queens-born rapper cried about having to pay 62% in taxes under Joe Biden’s tax plan, he received praise from the MAGA faithful, Tomi Lehran, Candace Owens, and Donald Trump’s senior campaign advisor Katrina Pierson. Trump, who is always looking for a new African A...

Barack Obama Slams President Trump During Campaign Speech For Joe Biden

Source: Michael M. Santiago / Getty The presence of President Barack Obama is sorely missed by many, considering the leadership helming the White House at the moment. President 44 hit the campaign trail for his former vice president Joe Biden and slammed President Donald Trump by pointing to his poor record of handling the coronavirus pandemic and more. Speaking during a drive-in rally in Philadelphia, properly observing social distancing guidelines like many aren’t on the other side, Obama made several direct jabs at Trump which isn’t typically his style. Going on the offensive but using facts to form his missives, the speech received favorable responses considering the format and what’s ultimately at stake. “I’ve sat in the Oval Office with both of the men who are running for president. ...

Some of The Avengers Will Reassemble To Help Raise Some Dough For Joe Biden

Source: Jesse Grant / Getty The Avengers, well some of them, will reassemble one more time to help Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Don’t worry, Chris Pratt won’t be there, and that’s fine because he’s the worst Chris in Hollywood, according to Twitter, due to allegedly being a Trump-supporting, anti-LGBTQ Republican. Anyway, Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana are slated to appear at the virtual fundraising event moderated by Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame directors the Russo Brothers. 50 Cent Endorses Donald Trump Even Though “Trump Doesn’t Like Black People”

Joe Biden has proposed raising taxes on people making over $400,000 a year. That was news to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who upon learning of the policy, quickly endorsed Donald Trump with the stirring words, “I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people.” Still, this is a somewhat surprising endorsement. As recently as March, Jackson blasted Trump supporters over the government’s coronavirus response, saying “You wanted a reality show host as president. Well, now you’re on Survivor.” But something seems to have changed over the last six months. He recently posted a video of Trump dancing to “YMCA”, praising the President’s “no fucks given” attitude. Then today, October 19th, Mr. Cent published a CNBC screenshot that (somewhat misleadingly) showed the highest-possible tax rates for the top 1...

‘Listen all y’all, It’s a Sabotage’: Beastie Boys Get Behind Biden

“The Blind Pig” centers on the 42-year-old Ann Arbor, Michigan music venue which, like so many others, is financially crushed under Trump’s watch. Airing nationally during Sunday’s Steelers – Browns NFL game on CBS, the clip is voiced by co-owner Joe Malcoun, co-owner of the Blind Pig, and wraps with the punch of “Sabotage.” “A lot of restaurants and bars that have been mainstays for years will not make it through this — this is Donald Trump’s economy,” explains Malcoun. “My only hope, for my family and this business, and my community, is that Joe Biden wins this election.” With its iconic, Spike Jonze-directed “buddy cop” music video, “Sabotage” is one of trio’s best-known works. The song was introduced to a new generation of fans through its prominent placement in ...

Marvel’s Avengers Cast to Assemble for Joe Biden Fundraiser

Fictional or not, Marvel’s The Avengers are assembling in support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. As Variety reports, the blockbuster stars behind Disney’s billion-dollar franchise will soon get together for a virtual fundraiser. Set for October 20th at 6:45 p.m. ET, the event will see Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, and the Russo brothers reunite for some Q&A and trivia with Harris. Most of these names should come as no surprise for anyone. After all, both Evans and Ruffalo alone have been incredibly vocal over the importance of this election. Some have even pestered Cap on whether he might one day run himself. Of course, that roster is about a third of the actual on-screen Avengers, which certainly leaves the door open for countless...

Beastie Boys License a Song for an Ad for First Time and It’s for Joe Biden: Watch

Believe it or not, but the Beastie Boys has never licensed a song for any advertisement — that is, until now. As Variety points out, the legendary New York outfit gave the green light to Joe Biden to use “Sabotage” in his latest campaign spot. The spot in question revolves around how COVID-19 has affected the live music industry, zeroing in on the collateral damage to Ann Arbor’s historic venue The Bling Pig. Founded in 1971, the club has played host to everyone from Joan Baez to Nirvana. “For 50 years, the Blind Pig has been open and crowded, but right now, it’s an empty room,” Joe Malcoun, co-owner of the Blind Pig, explains in the commercial. This is the reality of Trump’s Covid response.” Malcoun adds, “This is Donald Trump’s economy: There is no plan and you don’t know how to go ...

Should SNL Replace Jim Carrey as Joe Biden?

What was big, exciting entertainment news just a month or so ago has already become routine tedium: Jim Carrey played presidential candidate Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live. For the third week in a row, the blockbuster comic returned to Studio 8H, where Issa-Rae hosted the festivities. Three sketches into his run, however, and it’s hard to find anyone who appears to be enjoying his antics. (Then again, social media presents a comically skewed demographic of people who more or less despise Saturday Night Live, but feel compelled to provide running commentary anyway. Come to think of it, that’s likely how a lot of SNL writers probably feel about the presidential election.) This week’s endless cold open–under 15 minutes, but, as with last week’s, feeling closer to a full hour–toggled between...
