Quarantine is causing everyone to question…well, everything. That includes reworking classic songs to reflect these times. On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, Billy Idol showed up to perform a “social distancing remix” of his classic ’80s power anthem “Dancing With Myself.” The song has certainly taken on new meaning in recent months, that’s for sure. Joined by Jimmy Fallon, the Roots and their at-home instruments, it was definitely a…different version of the song. In February, Idol joined New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio in a campaign to fight the unnecessary idling of cars in the city. “When I heard about this campaign it just made sense,” Idol said at the time. “It’s amusing but also very serious.” Check it out below. Despite his fondness for far-right, anti-government figures like Alex Jones, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan seems to be abiding by stay-at-home orders. He’s even grown himself a quarantine beard (!) — which he proudly showed off during an in-home performance for Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show. Supporting his 2019 solo album, Cotillions, served up a delicate rendition of his song “Hard Times”. Watch below. Corgan’s Pumpkins were supposed to go on tour with Guns N’ Roses this summer, but obviously that’s no longer happening. On the plus side, it gives Corgan ample time to finish up those two new studio albums he’s been promising. [embedded content] You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. The Killers hit the right note, with the right message, when they appeared on The Tonight Show on Wednesday night (May 13). Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci represented the Las Vegas pop-rock outfit for an at-home performance of “Caution,” lifted from their forthcoming set Imploding the Mirage. At the top, Vannucci dedicated the song to healthcare workers “who are putting themselves out on the frontlines helping everybody in need.” He added, “we can’t tell you how much we appreciate that and how heroic that is.” The pair brought the energy and filled it up on guitars, keys and a drum machine, with no gimmicks. “Caution” made chart history last month when it rose 2-1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs airplay survey, a full 13 years and six months after their last leader on the...

The idea of Jimmy Fallon impersonating Nicolas Cage playing Tiger King’s Joe Exotic reads like something an Internet algorithm made up. Alas, The Tonight Show clown king made it a reality on Tuesday night, capitalizing on the news of the forthcoming scripted series. Basically, it’s Fallon doing his best bar room gesticulation of Cage, only wearing all the Tiger King accoutrements. The bleach-blonde wig? Check. The ’90s Fleer Ultra shades? Check. The Spirit Halloween threads? Check. He even wrote a country song. Of course, this writer is well aware of the hypocrisy that he’s writing this up and promoting it. But, if you’re like him, and already convinced the world is teetering on the edge of destruction, then perhaps you’ll take joy in muting the video and simply imagining Fallon has just l...
