Kylian Mbappe scored from the penalty spot as Paris Saint-Germain eased to their seventh straight Ligue 1 win on Saturday, beating Nantes 3-0 away to move provisionally three points clear at the top of the table. All the goals came in the second half at the Stade de la Beaujoire, with Ander Herrera opening the scoring two minutes after the restart and Mbappe converting a 65th-minute spot-kick before Pablo Sarabia secured the points late on. PSG have now taken maximum points since starting the season with back-to-back defeats and the reigning champions are three clear of Lille and Rennes at the summit. Nigerian striker tests positive for coronavirus

Few days after opening his goals account for the season, Nigerian forward David Okereke has tested positive for coronavirus. Okereke’s Belgian team Club Brugge in a short statement on their official website on Tuesday confirmed the positive status of their Nigerian forward. The club wrote: “Attacker David Okereke took a positive Corona test this morning. The attacker was immediately quarantined and will be retested next week.” Okereke has thus become the third high-profile Nigeria player to test positive for Coronavirus. Paul Onuachu of Genk and Samuel Kalu of Ligue 1 club Bordeaux also tested positive for Covid-19, but the duo have since recovered and already back in action for their respective team. Cameroon’s Jean-Charles Castelletto joins Nantes as free agent

Cameroon international Jean-Charles Castelletto has signed for Nantes as a free agent, the Ligue 1 club announced on Tuesday after he decided to not extend his contract with Brest. “Nantes are very happy to announce the signing of Jean-Charles Castelletto … our new defender has signed until 2023,” Nantes said in a statement. Born in the suburbs of Paris, 25-year-old Castelletto played for France’s youth teams but chose to play senior international football for Cameroon, so far winning one cap. He played nearly a 100 times over three seasons at Brest, a club which he helped get promoted to Ligue 1 for the curtailed 2019-20 season.
