And they’re in. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their inductees for 2021, and it’s a doozy. Foo Fighters, Jay Z, The Go-Go’s, Carole King, Todd Rundgren and Tina Turner will round out the performer category. Additionally, in the Musical Excellence category, LL Cool J, Billy Preston and Randy Rhoads get the call to the hall while Kraftwerk, Gil Scott Heron and Charley Patton were tapped in the Early Influences category. Clarence Avant will be inducted as the recipient of the Ahmet Ertegun Award which honors non-performing individuals. The Foos, Jay Z and The Go-Go’s were first-time nominees. TMZ reports that the deal was closed on Friday, May 30. Dorsey announced in March that he intended to give Jay-Z a bag for TIDAL, at least partially. For the visuals to the dope cut, Nas, Jay and Khaled get their grown man on by styling in high-end tuxedos while toasting to decades of success and reminding everyone they’re still not to be played with. “Its white gloves for me/haters know not to touch me, I’m with the f*ckery (f*ck with me),” Jay matter-of-factly states. Real talk, we believe him. You can take the man out of Brooklyn but you can’t take the Brooklyn...

TIDAL will still operate as an independent entity according to the announcement. The release goes on to detail that Square is hopping into this space as a means to empower musicians and all connected individuals within that space in order to facilitate payme...
