After skipping a year due to the pandemic, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted its 2021 class with a wild, surprise-guest-filled party held in the town many argue is the ceremony’s only rightful home: Cleveland, Ohio. What a homecoming it was. Paul McCartney became a seventh Foo Fighter. LL Cool J, Eminem, and J. Lo blew up the night like old-school hip-hop Avengers. And later, LL was the only person on the arena floor to stand and clap for the late, great Biz Markie. Both Carli(s)les — Brandi and Belinda — were in the house. Drew Barrymore did Ponds performance art. [embedded content][embedded content] The Go-Go’s swore to use their induction to get more female bands into the painfully male-dominated institution. And, randomly, Survivor host Jeff Probst was there — the sol...
Jay-Z was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last night by Dave Chappelle. Before diving into his speech, the comedian addressed his controversial Netflix special by opening with “I would like to apologize—I’m just fuckin’ with you.” “It is an incredible honor to induct this next man into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame,” he continued. “But I need everybody in rock ’n’ roll to know, that even though you are honoring him, he is ours. He is hip-hop. For ever and ever, and a day.” A pre-recorded video also included tributes from Beyoncé, Sean Combs, Chris Rock, LeBron James, Samuel L. The Hip-Hop power couple is reportedly selling their New Orleans home. It’s a mansion actually, and the same crib that unfortunately caught fire a few months ago. According to TMZ, Jay and Bey are asking for a cool $4,450,000 for the 13,292 square foot home that was built in 1925. All that money gets you 7-bedrooms and 8-bathrooms in what used to be a Presbyterian church. The home is in NOLA’s Historic Garden District, which makes for easy access to Canal St. and other NO destinations. In late July, someone set the home on fire, which led the authorities to consider it a case of arson, but no arrests have been made. It took over 20 firefighters ...

One, in particular, that is getting his devoted attention is the forthcoming Netflix film The Harder They Fall, a Western with an all-star cast that merited the Brooklyn mogul taking a trip across the pond. Source: David M. Benett / Getty On Wednesday night (Oct. 7), the Roc-a-fella Records founder was on hand at the BFI London Film Festival at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall. The Evening Standard reports that it was a surprise appearance from Jigga and his accomplished wife Beyoncé as they made an appearance on the red carpet (Bey was AWOL for that part) for the premiere of the Western. The Jaymes Samuel-directed film stars Idris Elba and Regina King along with a litany of up and coming and tri...
