Dua Lipa and Rita Ora have joined the chorus of tributes to Jamal Edwards, the British music entrepreneur and SBTV founder who has died at the age of 31. Edwards, who, at age 16, launched the channel as a launchpad for grassroots artists in his hometown, London, and was later awarded an MBE for his contribution to music, passed away Sunday (Feb. 20). When his parents gave Edwards a video camera as a Christmas gift at the age of 15, he turned it to local talent and uploaded the videos to YouTube. Today, the platform boasts more than 122 million subscribers.
