2020 is thankfully almost over, and as it nears its conclusion, Insomniac Events is giving EDM fans much to look forward to. The dance music concert promoter has announced the 2021 dates for a slew of its shows, such as EDC Orlando and its new oceanfront house music festival Day Trip, and the company has now announced yet another major event. Pasquale Rotella announced plans for the 2021 event one week after the EDC Orlando Virtual Rave-A-Thon. Following the news of three vaccines in the works to fight the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the live music industry has begun planning its grand return. Just one week after a virtual event was held in its honor, Pasquale Rotella has announced that the in-person EDC Orlando will be returning to Florida next November. The famed dance music event brand is now live with the virtual edition of EDC Orlando to kick off your weekend with DJ sets from some of the most exciting artists in house and bass music. Set to appear on today’s livestream event are Anabel Englund, Autograf, Cat Dealers, Morgan Page, Kaskade, Elephante, PEEKABOO, and Eptic, in that order. Insomniac Acquires Promotional Company Club Glow and Venues Echostage and Soundcheck
Insomniac is taking gigantic steps to expand its footprint and influence on the east coast. The global events operator has announced the acquisition of dance music promoter Club Glow as well as venues Echostage and Soundcheck, based in Washington, DC. The acquisition, announced this week, was finalized in February of this year. The deal was reportedly to be announced at this year’s Winter Music Conference, which was ultimately cancelled. The deal will see Club Glow founding partner Pete Kalamoutsos continue to helm the company he helped establish back in 1999. As school lets out for summer 2021, Southern California will have at least one major festival to celebrate the occasion, Beyond Wonderland. The fantasy Insomniac event has its sights set on returning to form at its long-held stomping ground, the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, on the weekend of June 25th and 26th.
