In honor of Women’s History Month, FEMME HOUSE proprietor LP Giobbi put together an incredible event on Insomniac TV in support of Alicia Keys’ She is the Music. As a non-profit organization, their goal is to increase the number of women working in music as songwriters, engineers, producers, artists and industry professionals. The virtual show provided incredible house music and entertainment for a Saturday night at home, all while raising money for a charitable cause. The EDM community lost a bright light this week when renowned electronic music producer i_o tragically passed away at the age of 30 on Monday, November 3rd. All week long, his friends and colleagues have banded together to pay tribute and share their favorite memories of the late artist. To honor i_o, his family at mau5trap has partnered with Insomniac Events to host a special “Legacy” streaming event this Saturday, November 28th. The stream will begin at 7PM PT (10PM ET) and will include some of i_o’s most memorable performances. Featured will be his Virtual Rave-A-Thon set from 2020 and his EDC Las Vegas set from 2019. Following the death of i_o, who tragically passed away this week at the age of 30, mau5trap has partnered with Insomniac Events for a special streaming event to honor the late techno producer. The livestream will feature i_o’s Virtual Rave-A-Thon sets from this year as well as his electrifying EDC Las Vegas set from 2019. Insomniac Announces Halloween “Park ‘N Rave” Drive-In Festival
After the successful launch of its weekly “Park ‘N Rave” concert series, Insomniac Events has floored the pedal of its foray into the drive-in show scene with its latest installment—a special Halloween edition. Dubbed “BOO!,” the two-day festival will go down Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California. True to Insomniac fashion, the venerated dance music event promoter recruited a stellar lineup of DJs for the Halloween extravaganza. Insomniac Announces In-Person 2020 Halloween Festival
Insomniac has announced an in-person Halloween festival in Florida amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Boo! Orlando is scheduled for Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st at Orlando’s Lot 54 at The Vanguard. Friday night will feature performances from Carnage, Loud Luxury, SayMyName, ATLiens, and Jinx while Saturday’s billing boasts Valentino Khan, Nitti Gritti, Schade, Sloth, and a yet-to-be-named surprise artist. As those in the live music industry continue to experience the pitfalls of the virus’ impact, shows like this may become more frequent in the coming months. Insomniac Announces 2021 Return of EDC Mexico and Dates
The EDM festival scene is officially on the mend heading into 2021. The latest major festival brand to announce its return is EDC Mexico. One of Latin America’s biggest fests, the 8th edition of EDC Mexico is officially scheduled to make its grand return on April 16th, 17th and 18th, 2021. While the news is certainly welcome, it’s important to note that 2021 festivals are nowhere near guaranteed due to the uncertainty of the impact of COVID-19. At the time of this article’s publishing, Insomniac has yet to announce a lineup. Beyond Wonderland Announces 2021 Return to The Gorge Amphitheatre
There is perhaps no live music destination as idyllic and beautiful as The Gorge Amphitheatre. The Washington venue, which is largely considered one of the most scenic in the nation, has stood the test of time as one of the most popular among EDM fans. Now, Insomniac has announced the in-person 2021 return of its famed Beyond Wonderland festival at The Gorge. Insomniac hosted the “Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge Virtual Rave-A-Thon” back in June 2020 in the thick of the pandemic, and while it was an incredible virtual experience, it obviously didn’t come close to the physical version. Insomniac’s Beyond Wonderland Set to Make Early Summer 2021 Return
As school lets out for summer 2021, Southern California will have at least one major festival to celebrate the occasion, Beyond Wonderland. The fantasy Insomniac event has its sights set on returning to form at its long-held stomping ground, the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, on the weekend of June 25th and 26th. The festival has typically taken place in March, but in his announcement Pascale Rotella seemed eager to use the extra time for additional planning. “June 25 & 26 are actually old EDC dates & I loved them for the energy of that out-of-school, first huge party of the summer vibe,” he elaborated via social media.
