All week long, his friends and colleagues have banded together to pay tribute and share their favorite memories of the late artist. To honor i_o, his family at mau5trap has partnered with Insomniac Events to host a special “Legacy” streaming event this Saturday, November 28th. Insomniac has announced an in-person Halloween festival in Florida amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Boo! Orlando is scheduled for Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st at Orlando’s Lot 54 at The Vanguard. Friday night will feature performances from Carnage, Loud Luxury, SayMyName, ATLiens, and Jinx while Saturday’s billing boasts Valentino Khan, Nitti Gritti, Schade, Sloth, and a yet-to-be-named surprise artist. The EDM festival scene is officially on the mend heading into 2021. The latest major festival brand to announce its return is EDC Mexico. One of Latin America’s biggest fests, the 8th edition of EDC Mexico is officially scheduled to make its grand return on April 16th, 17th and 18th, 2021. While the news is certainly welcome, it’s important to note that 2021 festivals are nowhere near guaranteed due to the uncertainty of the impact of COVID-19. Now, Insomniac has announced the in-person 2021 return of its famed Beyond Wonderland festival at The Gorge. As school lets out for summer 2021, Southern California will have at least one major festival to celebrate the occasion, Beyond Wonderland. The fantasy Insomniac event has its sights set on returning to form at its long-held stomping ground, the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, on the weekend of June 25th and 26th.
