Soccer Mommy has announced a new album called Sometimes, Forever. The third LP from Sophie Allison arrives June 24th via Loma Vista, while first single “Shotgun” is available to stream now. After working with indie producer Gabe Wax for 2018’s Clean and 2020’s color theory, Soccer Mommy enlisted Daniel Lopatin, the electronic producer behind Oneohtrix Point Never, for Sometimes, Forever. Tegan and Sara have found their Tegan and Sara! On Thursday, the indie pop duo announced the stars of their upcoming comedy series High School. The sisters will be played by fellow twins and TikTok stars Railey and Seazynn Gilliland. Railey is set to portray the 15-year-old version of Tegan, who’s described in a press release as “gregarious, confident, and extroverted,” while Seazynn will step into the shoes of the “reserved, observant, and sensitive” Sara. Michelle Zauner has shared an update about the process of turning her hit memoir Crying in H Mart into a movie. Speaking exclusively to Consequence around the launch of the Fender Player Plus Meteora on Wednesday (March 9th), Zauner, who performs as Japanese Breakfast, revealed that she’s knee-deep in the process of writing the film’s script. “So I actually just finished the first draft of the screenplay,” Zauner told Consequence by phone. “My producers really like it, so hopefully the revision process won’t be too brutal.
