Omashola: How I fought gun-wielding men who tried to rob me
Former BBNaija housemate, Omashola, has narrated how he fought two suspected gunmen who tried to rob him some weeks back. In an Instagram post on Monday, the reality TV star stated that the incident happened when he was about driving home after attending an event. Omashola, who is also a model, stated that in the process, the two men had stopped him abruptly and tried to take away his valuables. According to him, sensing that he was seemingly helpless, he mustered the courage to engage his attackers in a fight. Gunmen attack police station, kill cop in Akwa Ibom
Gunmen on Sunday attacked a police station in the Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and shot dead a mobile police officer. It was gathered that the officer was killed in the early hours of Sunday during a gun battle with the hoodlums which lasted several minutes. A source, who pleaded not to be mentioned, told our correspondent that one of the hoodlums identified as Imo Udo, was arrested while others escaped with bullets wounds. Police dispel report of armed Fulani invasion of Ekiti market
The Ekiti State Police Command has dispelled reports that armed Fulani bandits had stormed Ado Ekiti, the state capital. The state’s Commissioner of Police, Tunde Mobayo, said it is important to allay the fear that engulfed residents of the town when the news made the rounds on Wednesday. The Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Imo, Mr Declan Emelumba, has confirmed the attack on his country home in Ubulu, Oru West Local Government Area. Emelumba narrated to newsmen in Owerri how the incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
