Wrongful Death Suit Filed By Parents of Deceased Imagine Music Festival Attendee
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Fernando Octavio Rodriguez, an Imagine Music Festival attendee who reportedly died near the event after an encounter with police. On September 20th, 2019, law enforcement were summoned to an intersection near the Atlanta Motor Speedway, where a naked man was reported wandering around, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Police confronted Rodriguez and stunned him at least 16 times when he refused to comply, according to the complaint. Though the results of Rodriguez’s toxicology report are not yet available, his attorneys believe he may have been under the influence to the point where he was unable to take direction from officers. Imagine Music Festival Cancelled Due to Severe Weather Caused by Hurricane Nicholas
Just two days before its gates were to open, Imagine Music Festival has been cancelled due to severe weather conditions in Atlanta. Hurricane Nicholas made landfall this week, slamming Gulf Coast communities and bringing heavy rains to the Atlanta metropolitan area. Beloved Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia music fest Imagine Music Festival is the latest major festival brand to kick the bucket due to the impact of COVID-19. Back in April 2020, representatives announced their plans to host the 2020 iteration of Imagine at Bouckaert Farms, the former site of TommorowWorld, from September 18th to 20th. “While we wanted to be sensitive to the stresses that everyone is facing with COVID-19, we also wanted Imagine to be a positive light through the barrage negative news,” said founders Glenn and Madeleine Goodhand at the time.
