Ubbi Dubbi Festival went down in Texas over the weekend as one of the first normalized EDM festivals since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering how big of a moment it was for the dance music community, many of the festival’s performers took the opportunity to debut brand new music. Such was the case with ILLENIUM, who dropped a brand new collab with SLANDER and Krewella before a wild crowd. With it soaring future bass drop, the song has all the elements of a signature, heart-wrenching ILLENIUM tune. ILLENIUM Announces Ember Shores Destination Festival in Cancun, Mexico

Taking fans by surprise, ILLENIUM has announced his own inaugural music festival, Ember Shores, taking place in Cancun, Mexico, in December 2021. The three-day destination festival will offer attendees an all-inclusive weekend getaway at the Four-Diamond Paradisus Resort with the main stage on the white sands of the Caribbean beach, late-night sets, lagoon-inspired pools, ten restaurants, seven bars, and a spa on-site. Though a lineup has yet to be announced, performers will be hand-picked by ILLENIUM to the tastes of his fanbase (fondly dubbed the “Illenials”). As if the hype surrounding ILLENIUM‘s upcoming fourth studio album couldn’t be any more explosive, he has poured gasoline on the flames by sharing a preview of an unreleased Fallen Embers cut with Excision and HALIENE. ILLENIUM took to Twitter to post a studio clip containing audio of the collab, which sounds like it could be their biggest yet. Fans are safe to look forward to a monster vocal-driven, hybrid bass tune, packed with signature production elements of both artists. SLANDER have teased one of their biggest collaborations to date. Joining forces for the first time in their respective careers, the duo has joined forces with ILLENIUM for a new single. Across their social media pages, SLANDER announced that the yet-to-be-named song is completed and invited fans to join in on the hype. Melodic bass fans have been eagerly awaiting the day the two acts would team up on a song. This desire was further fueled in 2019 when SLANDER released a remix of ILLENIUM’s collaboration with Jon Bellion, “Good Things Fall Apart.” Other than the remix, the two have not released any original music until now.
