Round #2 of Chipotle‘s 2020 Chipotle Challenger Series (CCS) is here, and it features some of the most popular artists in dance music. The second edition of the beloved food chain’s Esports competition series is set to kick off later in the month of June with Dillon Francis, Illenium, CRAY, and Jauz, who will compete alongside amateur gamers as well as top Esport talents, like Nadeshot and CouRageJD of 100 Thieves, TimTheTatMan, Symfuhny, TeePee, KingRichard, FaZe Swagg, HusKerrs, Aydan, GoldGlove, DougIsRaw, and Barstool HooliganZ. Illenium Announces Release of “Ascend Tour Edits” This Friday
Illenium took to Twitter today to announce that he is releasing some of his own edits of tracks from his Ascend LP, his critically acclaimed third studio album released back in August 2019. Illenium has been teasing his “Tour Edits” for a while now, dropping them at the vast majority of his live shows after the release of Ascend. It seems that being stuck in quarantine has made him look at those past shows through rose-colored glasses. “Being stuck at home has me missing all of you and I hope this EP let’s us experience another show together,” Illenium wrote, accompanying his message with a “heart” emoji. ILLENIUM has released a remix package for his third album, ASCEND. The ASCEND remix album is a perfect blend of genres. Artists such as Drezo, Breathe Carolina, and Snakehips have reworked fan favorites into house heaters while the likes of WHIPPED CREAM, Blunts & Blondes, and Tisoki have given some tracks a healthy dose of bass. Illenium just announced that his third album, Ascend, has been given the remix treatment in the form of a package that will be released at the end of the week. While the complete tracklist hasn’t been revealed, several artists have taken to Twitter to announce their part in the compilation. Illenium and X Ambassadors today shared the “Stripped” version of their collaborative single “In Your Arms,” which appeared on the former’s Ascend LP back in August 2019. Peeling the original down to its barebones, Illenium and X Ambassadors have delivered a poignant rework of the original track that displays the classically-trained side of both artists.
