Iconic rapper Ice Cube — also known as O’Shea Jackson Sr. — has jumped on the Dogecoin (DOGE) bandwagon with his endorsement of an “incredible and historical” DOGE transaction. Cube’s entry into the wild world of Dogecoin is related to the BIG3 basketball league that he co-founded. The organization predominantly features former NBA stars in a three-on-three format as opposed to the regular five-on-five basketball games. Last month, the BIG3 launched a new ownership model for the league, which consists of selling tokenized stakes in each of the 12 teams. There are 1000 nonfungible tokens (NFTs) in total allocated to each team, with 25 “Fire” NFTs worth $25,000 a pop and 975 “Gold” NFTs at $5,000 each. On Wednesday, MyDoge wallet co-founder Bill Lee tweeted at Ice Cube saying “if ya dig DOGE...
HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: David Becker / Getty You can’t say Ice Cube isn’t a man who stands on his principles, no matter how debatable or questionable they may be. The rapper turned actor and mogul has reportedly left a Sony comedy called Oh Hell No over his refusal to take a COVID-19 vaccine. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ice Cube will be missing out on a $9 million dollar payday thanks to his decision to curve getting vaccinated. Cube, born O’Shea Jackson, would have been starring opposite Jack Black. Reportedly, Black and Cube partnered on the project back in June with filming to down over the winter in Hawaii. The Hollywood Reporter reported that Sony had no comment on Ice Cube’s exit, and that neither the personal representative for the hip-hop star nor his agency, WME, would comment. The Sony film was set to shoot this winter in Hawaii, and the producers required the whole cast to be vaccinated. This is the second film that Ice Cube has walked away from this year, as he left the forthcoming boxing film Flint Strong, but for unclear reasons. Ice Cube himself has promoted mask-wearing throughout the pandemic. A couple of months into the lockdown, the rapper released “Check Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Self” branded merchandise, with...

The film’s creator and the studio have been going back and forth over the many weeks via nasty letters rooted in gross creative differences, unreasonable demands, and even allegations of discrimination. Indie Wire reports that the whole beef started when Warner Bros. made too many demands for script changes that Ice Cube didn’t take too kindly to. The film was originally set ...
Source: NBC / Getty Right before last year’s Presidential elections Ice Cube caught the wrath of the culture when Donald Trump’s camp revealed they were allegedly working with the Hip-Hop icon on his “Contract With Black America.” Though Cube defended himself and explained he wasn’t supporting Trump’s re-election and only spoke to the Trump administration after the Biden camp passed on a meeting, everyone felt that he was ultimately used by Trump to help him get some of the Black vote in the coming elections. Now that the former Racist-In-Chief is out of office and the Biden Harris administration is in full swing, TMZ is reporting that Cube will indeed be meeting with the new Head of State to discuss the contract he’s been pitching for a while now. During an interview with Ryan Cameron for...
