There’s no manual to achieving a chart topping hit—but having your music be the subject of an embarrassing sex confession may be one of the weirdest routes we’ve seen a song take. Taking to the TIFU subreddit, a Redditor confessed to the world that Hudson Mohawke’s track “Cbat” had been a staple of his love-making playlist for a number of years, and stood the test of time through multiple relationships. That was much to the chagrin of his current girlfriend, who unfortunately expressed her displeasure for the track after two years of their relationship. The author of the post elaborated that the song happens to be his favorite part of the playlist, and he enjoyed the fact that he could align his motions to the quirky rhythm of the track during intimacy. TNGHT are bouncing back into the forefront of trap music without missing a beat. With “Tums,” the duo’s first effort since 2019’s II album, Hudson Mohawke and Lunice‘s calculus was simple: do what feels right and don’t overthink it. As Lunice identifies, the approach is a foundational pillar of the duo’s popularity. “‘Tums’ was made from that collective feeling of, ‘OMG maybe there actually ARE going to be parties again,'” Lunice said in a statement. “That feeling seemed to inspire the first principles of the TNGHT project: Keep it really fun. Hudson Mowhawke and Tiga have teamed up to release a new single called “Love Minus Zero,” a rave-ready breakbeat beast released independently. Following its July 6th debut on Annie Mac‘s BBC Radio 1 show, HudMo took to Twitter to exult that the single has been “quietly in the works the last couple of years” while likening it to “hardcore romance.” Along with the release of “Love Minus Zero” came the announcement that Hudson Mowhawke and Tiga will be releasing a new song each month through the end of 2020, according to a press release. As two of the most versatile and brilliantly mercurial producers in the electronic music sphere, it’s anyone’s guess as to what they have cooked up for fans in the remainder of the ye...
