I wish my elementary school teacher played house music when we arrived for school.  The self-proclaimed “Tech House Teacher” on TikTok, better known as Mr. P by his students, is a teacher based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. P has been playing tech house bangers for his students to motivate them as they arrive to school each morning. New Petition Calls For an End to “Woo-Woo”-Ing At House Music Shows

To “woo-woo” or not to “woo-woo”?  That is the question posed by one John Jones, who recently started a Change.org petition to “Stop ‘Woo-Woo’-ing When DJs Play House Music.”  “We get it, you finally like house music even though it’s been around for decades,” Jones wrote. “There’s no need to squawk like a pelican every five seconds.”  Jones is not alone. ARC Festival is returning to the birthplace of house music in 2022 with a staggering lineup. The organizers of the Chicago electronic music festival have announced the artists for for its 2022 edition, scheduled for Labor Day Weekend at Union Park. Set to perform are Carl Cox, Adam Beyer □ Cirez D, Charlotte de Witte, Chris Lake, Gorgon City, Nora En Pure, Lane 8, Claptone and many more. The fest will also feature a number of iconic electronic music artists, like Fatboy Slim, Skream, Carl Craig and Richie Hawtin. Lollapalooza Founder Perry Farrell Says He’s Producing House Music

Perry Farrell, the fabled Lollapalooza founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman, has revealed he’s been busy working on house music. In an interview with L.A. Downtown News, Farrell talked about his new “Heaven After Dark” project, which is set to debut this week in downtown Los Angeles. Dubbed an “audio sensory journey,” the monthly series is said to incorporate musicians, dancers, comedians and street performers, as well as DJs playing acid house music.
