It’s official: Neve Campbell is heading back to Woodsboro, California. As Bloody Disgusting reports, the veteran star has confirmed she’s returning to the Scream franchise in the forthcoming reboot from Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures. “After spending time speaking with Radio Silence, they have shown such love, respect and admiration for Wes Craven and all that he’s created in the Scream franchise,” Campbell said in a statement. “I am beyond excited to step back into the role of Sidney Prescott and return to Woodsboro.” Ready or Not directors Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, on behalf of their filmmaking group Radio Silence, echoed Campbell’s sentiments: “We’re pinching ourselves! The Walking Dead to End with Season 11
After more than a decade, The Walking Dead is finally ready to rest. As Deadline and EW note, the long-running horror series will come to an end in 2022 after an expanded 11th season. But just as one zombie falls only to be replaced by another, so does a new spinoff of The Walking Dead stumble on in its place. The new untitled series will star Norman Reedus‘ Daryl and Melissa McBride’s Carol, and is expected to debut in 2023. The coronavirus pandemic had already interrupted production on Season 10, pushing the season finale back to October 4th. Nike Reveals Freddy Krueger Sneakers For This Halloween
One, two, Nike’s coming for you. Three, four, better check your stores. As Bloody Disgusting reports, the sneaker conglomerate is heading to Elm Street for the Halloween season as they’ve just unveiled a new pair of Air Max 95s inspired by Freddy Krueger. As you can see below, the sneaks are a mix of “Velvet Brown”, “University Red”, and “Team Red”, three colors lifted straight from the dream demon’s iconic sweater. There are also a few quirks to the design, including bloody Swooshes on the heels. Not gonna lie, Nike could have leaned a little harder into the red and green, but we dig the shoes nonetheless. Supernatural comes to an end on The CW this November. However, as fans have learned through 15 years and 15 seasons of the sci-fi horror series, nothing is ever really over. That appears to be the mindset of its leading star Jensen Ackles. In a recent appearance on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast, Ackles suggested that the upcoming series finale isn’t exactly the end of the road for the Winchester brothers. Rob Zombie’s Halloween Soundtracks Finally Heading to Vinyl
Fall is upon us and just begging for a return trip to Haddonfield, Illinois. Waxwork Records has some tricks and treats for the occasion as they’ve announced the debut vinyl release of the soundtracks to Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II. What a treat, indeed. Both soundtracks feature score cues by composer Tyler Bates, select dialogue from the movie, and songs from the respective films, which range from Alice Cooper and Kiss to The Moody Blues and Motörhead.
