Kanye West’s antisemitism is a bridge too far, even for Elon Musk. In one of his first acts of censorship since assuming control of Twitter, the self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist” deleted a series of West’s tweets featuring a swastika and imposed a 12-hour suspension on West’s account. West reacted to the news by sharing a text message from Musk, in which the Twitter CEO wrote, “Sorry, but you have gone too far. This is not love.” West also posted a shirtless photo of Musk, which he declared to be “my final tweet.” Related Video Musk responded to West via his own Twitter account. “This is fine,” Musk tweeted in response to the shirtless photo. “This is not,” he added in response to West’s use of the swastika. Kanye West‘s agreement to purchase Parler has been called off, according to a statement from the parent company of the right-wing social media platform. “In response to numerous media inquiries, Parlement Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler,” the company wrote. “This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November.” Parler advertises itself as “the world’s pioneering uncancelable free speech platform,” and West sought to buy it after his Twitter and Instagram accounts were restricted for writing, among other things, that he’d go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.” Advertisement Related Video “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be contr...
Cardi B dropped by The Breakfast Club on Thursday morning (Dec. 1) and dropped some crumbs about when to expect her next studio album. When Cardi called in for Angela Yee’s last day with The Breakfast Club, host Charlamagne Tha God asked if the rapper had a release date in mind for the highly anticipated follow-up to her Grammy-winning debut album Invasion of Privacy, which she released in April 2018 via Atlantic Records. “I have no choice, I have to put it out,” she replied. “I have like a couple of songs that are like definite, I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on with me. I need to just make up my mind and put it out.” DJ Envy gassed her up by saying since “every record you put out went No. 1” (for the record, Cardi has five No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 so far), it’s time for h...
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian finalized their divorce on Tuesday, with West agreeing to pay $200,000 a month in child support. TMZ reports that Kardashian and West will have “equal access” to their four children. In addition to child support, West is responsible for 50% of the children’s educational and security expenses. Given recent events, it is reasonable to wonder whether West can actually afford such a financial nut on a monthly basis. Due to his recent antisemitic behavior, West has lost over a billion dollars in net worth and lucrative brand partnerships with GAP, adidas, and Balenciaga. He’s also currently without a record contract, was dropped by his talent agency, and saw a string of planned concerts canceled. Pusha T has distanced himself from one of his longtime collaborators, telling the Los Angeles Times that Kanye West’s string of antisemitic comments has been “very disappointing.” “It’s definitely affected me,” King Push said. “It’s been disappointing. As a Black man in America, there is no room for bigotry or hate speech.” Pusha T most recently worked with Ye on 2022’s It’s Almost Dry, which pitted West’s beatmaking against the musicality of Pharrell Williams to create a kind of coke rap dialectic. “Creatively, Ye has meant freedom to me,” Push said. “A lot of times, people would try to get me to change certain things about my process, change certain things about me lyrically, change certain things about the content. He never has been like that. He always saw me for wh...

Kanye West walked off the set of a live podcast taping on Monday after being challenged over his antisemitic views. West and his posse of white nationalists, Milo Yiannopoulos and Nick Fuentes, appeared on Tim Pool’s Timcast podcast. Pool actually began the interview by asking West about his recent dinner with Donald Trump, but West immediately took the conversation in a different direction. “I just got to go to the heart of this antisemite claim,” West said as he launched into an incoherent rant in which he accused Gap, adidas, Vogue, former presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, and even his personal trainer of participating in a Jewish-led conspiracy to end his career. On Thanksgiving Eve eve, Offset counted the things he’s thankful for, but also something he’s missing: his cousin and late Migos bandmate Takeoff. “Missing everything bout you specially that smile,” Offset wrote on Tuesday (Nov. 22) in a post that featured an image of a slyly smiling Takeoff. The post came as police still have not named a suspect (or suspects) in the early-morning Nov. 1 killing of Takeoff (born Kirsnick Khari Ball), 28, who was shot outside a downtown Houston bowling alley in an as-yet-unsolved attack. The shooting took place at a private party attended by Takeoff and his uncle, third Migos member Quavo, who was not injured in the incident. Shortly after a public memorial service for Takeoff in the trio’s home town of Atlanta earlier this month, Offset’s wife, Cardi B, sh...
Membership has its privileges. Especially when you’re part of Klub Kardashian. That might explain how Kim Kardashian and Ye‘s daughter North West, 9, got a special audience with Lizzo at the singer/rapper’s final Special Tour stop on Saturday at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Not only did North seemingly get some premium seats for the gig — sharing footage from the show on her TikTok, on which the tween can be heard shouting, “Lizzo!” — but she also got a backstage audience with the Twerk Queen. In another video posted on the TikTok account she shares with her mom, North and her pal Ryan chill in a backstage corridor with Lizzo, with all three wearing hot pink tops as they bust out the choreo from the viral “Get Sturdy” dance. After the girls got things going with the trend’s sign...
Toronto rapper DijahSB has announced a new EP called Living Simple. The six-song project drops February 10th, while new single “Khadijah” is out now. Living Simple is tightly intertwined with Living Single. The EP’s name is a play on the ’90s sitcom’s title, while “Khadijah” is a reference to Queen Latifah’s character on the show, whom DijahSB’s mother loved so much that she named her child after them. Best of all is the project’s cover, which utilizes that nostalgic cartoon font. Check it out below. Understandably, the song “Khadijah” deals with the loneliness of living single, but the person Khadijah avoids self pity with a laid back, amiable beat. “I be at the crib like Khadijah/ Wondering if I will ever find somebody out here who’s a keeper,” the artist raps. Six long years since his last LP Do What Thou Wilt, the once-prolific Ab-Soul is back to announce to his fifth studio album, Herbert. It drops December 16th via Top Dawg Entertainment, and Ab-Soul is offering a preview with the single “Gang’Nem” featuring Fre$H. The artist born Herbert Anthony Stevens IV came to prominence as part of the first iconic TDE class that also featured Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, and Jay Rock. He released four albums between 2011 and 2016 and then faded from public view, returning in 2020 with “Dangerookipawaa Freestyle” and guest appearances on albums by Isiah Rashad, Reason, and Jhené Aiko. So far this year he’s dropped “Hollaindaise,” “Moonshooter,” and “Do Better,” any of which might be appearing on ...
