Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Admits His Infamous Nirvana Cover “Looked and Sounded Like Total Shit”
Roughly three years ago, Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin performed a cover of Nirvana’s “About a Girl” that got all sorts of attention for all the wrong reasons. In a new interview, the rock singer freely admits that the performance “looked and sounded like shit.” During a visit to SiriusXM in early 2020, Scantlin was joined by his Puddle of Mudd bandmates for an acoustic rendition of the Nirvana classic. While the rest of the band sounded fine, Scantlin was painfully off-key. Greta Van Fleet on New Album: “We’re Wrapping It Up as We Speak”
Greta Van Fleet have revealed that they are nearing the completion of their third full-length album. Bam Margera Rocks Out at Amon Amarth Show After Hospitalization: Watch
Bam Margera was spotted side-stage at an Amon Amarth concert on Friday (December 16th) in San Diego following his recent hospitalization. It was certainly encouraging to see Margera rocking out with the Swedish Viking metal band after his serious health scare. The former Jackass star was hospitalized at a San Diego hospital ICU earlier this month and placed on a ventilator after testing positive for COVID-19. His condition included a case of pneumonia, with deteriorating oxygen levels. Candlemass Announce 2023 West Coast Tour
Swedish doom metal legends Candlemass have announced their first batch of 2023 US tour dates. The run is comprised of a handful of West Coast dates in support of their new album, Sweet Evil Sun, which arrived in November via Napalm Records. The tour will set off March 10th in Seattle, and run through a March 17th date in San Diego, with support acts yet to be announced. Tickets for select shows are currently available here. Finnish metal cellists Apocalyptica have unleashed a new single, “Rise Again,” featuring vocals from Simone Simons of Dutch symphonic metal band Epica. The Exploited’s Wattie Buchan Collapses Onstage After Suffering Suspected Heart Attack
The Exploited frontman Wattie Buchan collapsed onstage at a show on Saturday (December 10th) in Colombia and was rushed to the hospital after a suspected heart attack. As seen in the video clips below, the legendary Scottish punk singer, who’s 65 years old and has a history of heart problems, began clutching his chest and fell to his knees as the band played “Army Life.” According to a statement from the band, the singer had been trying to play through it before eventually collapsing.
