Clutch Announce 2023 Spring North American Tour
Clutch have always been road dogs, and that trend will continue in 2023. The longstanding hard rockers will embark on a Spring 2023 North American run, called the “No Stars Above Tour,” featuring support from Amigo the Devil and Nate Bergman. The tour will set off on April 11th in Norfolk, Virginia, and keep the guys on the road through a May 18th date in Sayreville, New Jersey. Tickets go on sale to the general public 10 a.m. local time on Friday (January 20th) via Ticketmaster, with a Live Nation pre-sale beginning Wednesday (January 18th) using the code SOUND. The Black Dahlia Murder will embark on their first tour since the tragic passing of frontman Trevor Strnad. Support will come from Terror, Frozen Soul, Fuming Mouth, and Phobophilic during the six-week North American run. The Spring outing, dubbed “The Verminous Remnant Tour,” kicks off with a performance at the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia on April 14th and runs through a May 26th gig in Minneapolis. Borland and Callaway split up in 2019, and the defamation suit stems from a 2020 divorce agreement that prevented both parties from publicly speaking or giving interviews that “defame the other.” Borland’s suit cites a Bandcamp Daily article about Callaway, who was interviewed for the piece. In the article, Callaway openly discusses details surrounding the divorce, claiming that Borland gave her three days to leave their Detroit-area home with several rescue cats, one of which died in the process. Alice Cooper Announces Spring 2023 US Tour
It’s Friday the 13th, so it seems appropriate that Alice Cooper would use the spooky day to announce a new US tour. The trek, dubbed the “Too Close for Comfort Tour,” will kick off on April 29th in Youngstown, Ohio, and run through a May 18th date in Biloxi, Mississippi. But Liturgy have been known to throw a curveball, and the track epitomizes the project’s uncompromising nature. There are no traditional rock instruments; nor is there anything remotely metal about the piece. However, the same compositional complexities that run through Liturgy’s “heavier” offerings, if you will, are still at work here. The Strokes’ Fab Moretti and Tool’s Danny Carey will bring their talents to the nighttime NBC talk show for one week each. Fans can catch Moretti starting tonight (January 9th) and running through Thursday (January 12th). The Strokes’ stickman previously filled the 8G Band drum seat for a week in 2016.
