Michael Mann Announces Heat 2, a New Novel That’s Both Prequel and Sequel

For the first time in over 25 years, you can “spot the heat around the corner.” Michael Mann has announced Heat 2, his first novel co-written with Edgar-winner Meg Gardiner that will serve as both a prequel and a sequel to the 1995 film. Heat 2 arrives August 9th from William Morrow and Michael Mann Books, and pre-orders are now ongoing. One feared dead, two injured in Ogun gas explosion

Tragedy struck on Monday in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State as one person was feared dead while two others were seriously injured in a gas explosion. Newsmen gathered that the incident happened around 8am along Folagbade Road in Ijebu-Ode. The explosion involved a tricycle, three motorcycles and a Honda SUV. According to an eyewitness, the explosion was caused by a gas cylinder belonging to one of the passengers of the tricycle. The eyewitness explained that the rider of the tricycle that was conveying three occupants parked by the roadside when the owner of the cylinder discovered that the gas was leaking from the cylinder. Group urges President Buhari to suspend NDDC forensic audit

The South South Reawakening Group, has called for the immediate suspension of the ongoing forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), describing it as a “circus of corruption”.
