Liverpool want to sign exciting Leicester City winger

Liverpool are interested to sign Harvey Barnes who is currently on the books of Leicester City, according to reports.  The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a huge admirer of the 23-year-old who made his England debut last year in October against Wales.   According to Fichajes, the Merseyside club will try to secure the signature of the exciting player ahead of the 2022-23 season.  They want to bring the talented winger to Anfield to replace Sadio Mane in the future.  The 23-year-old has been an important figure for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season. Report suggests Liverpool have ‘concrete’ interest in 23-yr-old Premier League ace

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes. The 23-year-old has developed into a key player for the Foxes and has the potential to improve further. The Reds could definitely use a technically gifted creator like him who can operate in a wide role and centrally. He bagged 13 goals and four assists across all competitions last season. According to The Athletic, Barnes has a contract until 2024, but Leicester are looking to reward him with a fresh four-year deal. The Reds have ‘concrete’ interest in the player, but they are yet to make a formal approach to sign him. It is fair to assume that Liverpool may have to shell out a premium to secure his services. However, Barnes is yet to reach his peak and would have plenty of time to justify a significant ou...

Brendan Rodgers confirms knee injury for Harvey Barnes, out for at least six weeks

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has provided a worrying injury update on Harvey Barnes following the club’s 3-1 Premier League defeat to Arsenal this afternoon. The 23-year-old has been one of the Foxes’ leading performers this term, but they will be without him for several weeks after he sustained a knee injury. The attacker picked up the setback during the opening minutes of the second half. It initially appeared a muscular injury, but he was later stretchered off with a protective boot on his left leg. Following the game, Rodgers spoke to BBC Radio Leicester where he revealed that the attacker will need an operation with a bone splitting from his left knee. The forward was already carrying a minor concern with his knee and has now suffered a significant injury which will keep him...

Leicester attacker ready to sign new contract amid Man United and Liverpool interest

Harvey Barnes is ready to put pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract with Leicester City amid interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, The Mirror reports. Barnes has been a regular for the Midlands outfit since being recalled from a loan stint at West Bromwich Albion in January 2019. The 23-year-old had an impressive full season in the Premier League last term with six goals and eight assists from 36 appearances. He has found better consistency in his game this season, bagging nine goals and four assists from only 24 top-flight matches. Barnes is now regarded as an undisputed starter for the Foxes on the left wing, and it is unsurprising that he is close to committing to a new deal. United and Liverpool are understood to be keeping a close watch on his performances, but the forward...

Leicester edge up to second despite draw vs Crystal Palace

A much-changed Leicester moved up to second in the Premier League thanks to Harvey Barnes’ late equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on Monday. Wilfried Zaha’s stunning near post volley put the Eagles in front against the run of play after Kelechi Iheanacho had a first-half penalty saved for Leicester. With little over 48 hours rest between the Foxes’ 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday and the trip to Selhurst Park, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers made seven changes with Jamie Vardy and Youri Tielemans among those left on the bench. Both were introduced midway through the second-half and Leicester’s pressure was rewarded with an equaliser when Barnes fired in a low shot from the edge of the box for his eighth goal of the season. Despite the upheaval of missing many of their st...

Fulham shock Leicester to go out of relegation zone

Fulham climbed out of the Premier League relegation zone after finally solving their penalty woes in a shock 2-1 win at Leicester on Monday. Scott Parker’s side won for just the second time in the league this season thanks to Ademola Lookman’s opener and Ivan Cavaleiro’s penalty. Fulham had missed three of their four previous penalties this term, but Cavaleiro held his nerve to convert from the spot for the crucial second goal. It was an emotional success for the Cottagers, with Lookman celebrating his goal by displaying one of Papa Bouba Diop’s Senegal shirts after Fulham’s former midfielder died aged 42 at the weekend. Harvey Barnes scored for Leicester in the closing minutes, but Fulham held on and move one point above the bottom three. It was only Fulham’s second away win in the past 2...
