Surging DJ and bass music producer ROSSY has returned to HARD Recs with a stunning new single, “DON’T SAY.” It’s the third track from her upcoming debut EP, Heaven’s Door, and it beautifully encapsulates her euphoric style with soaring saws and trappy percussion. Blending elements of future bass and Wave music, she starts off with dreamy pads and warm, distorted vocal swells before the arrangement picks up steam with a tense drum build. It eventually culminates in a thrilling drop dripping with nostalgia, a sound that is quickly becoming ROSSY’s signature. ROSSY. Robert Flagg “DON’T SAY” had been in the works since the end of 2020, according to a recent tweet from ROSSY, who has called her debut EP “a piece of [her] heart and soul...
After their previous collaboration “Lose Control,” house music stars Wax Motif and Matroda have teamed up once again for a Latin tech house single, “La Candela Viva.” Teased across the festival circuit over the past seven months before today’s release via HARD Recs., the track comes highly anticipated from house fans near and far. “You guys ready for the new Waxtroda?” Wax Motif had teased, coining the pair’s name on social media on Wednesday. “La Candela Viva” opens with a powerful vocal sample from Colombian music icon Totó La Momposina layered over cumbia-style drums, before launching into a thumping tech house beat. Rhythmic vocal chops, sultry guitar licks and a pumping bassline all come together for a mischievous and danceable anthem. Tak...
In an unsuspecting surprise, Nitti Gritti and SAYMYNAME have launched a brand new collaborative alias. Aptly titled SAYMYNITTI, the duo kicked off with a blistering single called “BING BONG!” out via HARD Recs. In an electrifying fusion of both Nitti Gritti’s and SAYMYNAME’s skillsets, the track sees both artist’s signature sounds hard at work. A four-on-the-floor beat serves as its foundation, where they’ve allowed an unmistakable TikTok sample to run wild. After giving listeners a taste of bass house, the duo blindside them with an unrelenting hard trap drop—a signature quality of SAYMYNAME. “We’ve been working on this project behind the scenes for a while, and I’m so stoked to finally release ‘Bing Bong’ and debut the SAYMYN...
Just one year ago, Wuki was prepping for the 2020 Grammy Awards, for which his flip of Miley Cyrus‘ “Mother’s Daughter” earned a nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. The most pressing matter on his mind was picking out a suit. “I’m living it up right now,” he told EDM.com last January. That reality now feels miles away, but the pandemic hasn’t kept Wuki from staying sharp in the studio. March 12th saw the official release of his debut album, WukiWorld, via HARD Recs. In fact, the pre-pandemic vision for the release was built around an IRL WukiWorld, which Wuki described as “part rave, part circus, part amusement park, and part art installation,” to EDM.com. “Upon entering, you would be ...
Nitepunk released “Flow” as his first single on the HARD RECS label just last month, making a splash on the fan-favorite electronic music imprint. The original track showcased a set of inventive breakbeat production skills, proving that Nitepunk has a lot to offer the dance music scene. Last year, Nitepunk remixed Habstrakt‘s “The One” and he was not the only artist to do so, joining the likes of fellow bass heavyweights NGHTMRE, Basstrick, Asdek, Effin, and Unlovable. This year, the roles have been reversed. Habstrakt, the renowned French bass house producer, has decided to give “Flow” his own unique spin. Habstrakt—the french house mainstay artist—has been on a roll as of late, releasing tracks on Never Say Di...

Shaquille O’Neal has once again dunked on the bass music scene with an assist from Wuki and Scrilla King. The evolution of DJ Diesel just took another giant leap forward in the form of “SHUTUP,” a blistering trap collaboration with Wuki. Shaq, who told us that bass music “will continue to run through [his] veins” last month, has stayed true to his word with the release of “SHUTUP.” The single, which features bars from rising rapper Scrilla King, blends elements of trap and dubstep with hip-hop for a festival-ready bass bomb. Between its three thunderous drops, Wuki and Shaq flex their sound design muscles with thick 808s, wobbly bass patches, and frenetic synths that run roughshod through the arrangement. Check out the massive collaboration, w...
If you’re looking for a Thursday pick-me-up with some serious attitude, Wuki and Diplo have you covered with their latest single “Chicken Wang,” featuring Snappy Jit. Out today via HARD Recs, the track is just as ridiculous as it sounds and stays true to Wuki and Diplo’s fun, energy-based rhythms. Think of it as the EDM ode to food, with messaging and a creative commitment to originality comparable to Kanye West‘s “Closed on Sunday.” The song is the first release off Wuki’s upcoming album, which the recent HARD Recs signee will release through his new label. It dives deep into his booty-bass and electro roots with pounding drum samples, upbeat vocal cuts and a drop full of rave whistles and reverb. In typical Wuki and Diplo fashio...
