Rapper Lil Tjay Shot In New Jersey, Undergoing Emergency Surgery: Report

The shooting occurred early Wednesday (June 22) morning in New Jersey, and the Bronx rapper is undergoing emergency surgery due to his wounds. TMZ reports that Tjay was shot shortly after midnight in Edgewater, NJ, a town that’s just across the Hudson River from New York City. Although the rapper was in surgery at the time the news broke, there aren’t any specific details about his injuries or his condition, for now. Although the details are sketchy, the incident reportedly went down at a couple of scenes; a Chipotle and an Exxon gas station. Matthew McConaughey appeared at the White House Press Briefing Room on Tuesday, where he delivered an impassioned plea for Congressional leaders to pass new bipartisan gun legislation in response to the recent wave of mass shootings in the US, including in the actor’s own hometown of Uvalde, Texas. McConaughey began his remarks by sharing personal anecdotes about the nineteen students and two teachers killed at Robb Elementary School on May 24th. He and his wife, Camila Aves, traveled to Uvalde the day after the shooting and met with the families of the victims. Tour Bus on Korn’s US Outing with Chevelle and Code Orange Hit by Gunfire

A tour bus on the current US outing featuring headliners Korn and support acts Chevelle and Code Orange was reportedly hit by gunfire overnight in Davenport, Iowa, where it was parked outside a hotel. Eight killed in mass shooting at Indianapolis FedEx facility

At least eight people were dead after a shooting at the FedEx Ground Plainfield Operations Centre in Indianapolis, Indiana, late on Thursday, according to police. The gunman reportedly took his own life after firing indiscriminately. Eight of those who were shot died on the scene, while some others were hospitalised with injuries, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) spokesperson Genae Cook. She told reporters that the motive for the killing was unclear, and that IMPD would work with the Indiana State Police to investigate the shooting. IMPD homicide detectives responded to the scene and began their investigation. Despite the West Indian Day Parade being one of the many annual NYC celebrations that were canceled by the city due to COVID-19, the celebration leading up to the carnival, J’Ouvert still went down. The event, which was also supposed to be canceled due to safety concerns concerning the coronavirus, took place in Brooklyn early Monday (Sept.7) morning.
