Soltan and RIOT Join Forces for Punishing Dubstep Track, “Arabian Knights”

Soltan and RIOT have teamed up for their first-ever collaboration, “Arabian Knights,” a riveting dubstep track out now by way of NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations. Soltan, whose signature production style has dazzled the electronic music community in recent years, and RIOT, a virtuosic Israeli bass music duo, are no strangers to writing dubstep hits. “Arabian Knights” pays homage to both artists’ Middle Eastern heritage. Akin to a classic warrior’s victory anthem, the roaring single features a cascade of sounds from the traditional Zurna—a double reed wind instrument played in central Eurasia, Western Asia and parts of North Africa—as well as Turkish strings and hypnotic bell patterns. “Arabian Knights” event...

NGHTMRE and SLANDER Unfurl New Chapter In Collaborative Saga With Emotive Single, “Fall Into Me”

The latest offering in the saga of NGHTMRE and SLANDER is a tonal switch-up from the “gud” vibrations of yesteryear.  Their new single “Fall Into Me,” the lead from NGHTMRE’s forthcoming debut album, sees the bass music virtuoso back on a collision course with his most frequent collaborators. However, unlike prior efforts, “Fall Into Me” is characterized by heartstring-tugging verses and somber chord progressions. SLANDER and Dylan Matthew, seemingly have hit-making down to a science, and “Fall Into Me” has the ingredients to continue the trend. Matthew’s vocals are precluded by a melancholic piano solo in the track’s introduction. The “Love Is Gone” vocalist does what he does best, delivering a powerful ver...

NGHTMRE Unveils Refreshing, Collaboration-Heavy EP, “UNSOUND”

NGHTMRE has proven himself to be a master of combining heavy and blissful sounds time and time again, and his latest EP, UNSOUND, is a true testament to his versatility. Comprising four songs, UNSOUND showcases NGHTMRE’s collaborative power by way of a handful of joint tracks, which range from dubstep to future pop and more. “Signal” (with Ray Volpe) brings together chaotic sound design and gritty vocal samples for a festival-ready result, while “Euphoria” (with Rosie Darling) masterfully showcases NGHTMRE’s softer side. “Sweetest Things“ features contributions from RNSOM and Davis, who nicely gel with NGHTMRE’s production to offer a stunning combination of pop and future bass. Finally, he rounds out the record with arguably its most impressive cut, “Ring The Alarm,” a co...

SLANDER, Subtronics, and JT Roach Collide on Anthemic Bass Single “Gravity”

After months of teasing their highly-anticipated collaboration, SLANDER, Subtronics, and JT Roach have released their tune “Gravity” in a joint release by Gud Vibrations and Cyclops Recordings. Clocking in at over six minutes, “Gravity” expertly speaks to each collaborator’s artistry. SLANDER, Subtronics, and Roach are all given their own moments to shine. Roach’s vocals lead the charge right from the start, paving the way for SLANDER’s signature emotive sound before Subtronics takes the lead in the first drop with unwavering, pulverizing bass. “Gravity” is a bass anthem that fans will undoubtedly be hearing in SLANDER and Subtronics’ sets for the remainder of the festival season. Saka Makes Gud Vibrations Debut With Mind-Melting “Split Punch / Wing Chun” EP

Saka has been on the rise since 2019, enjoying a particularly successful 2020 campaign. The Hong Kong-born producer released his Slipstream EP on Bassrush and his collaborative effort “Killijoy” with EAZYBAKED and MOLOKAI on Subtronics’ Cyclops imprint. Today he continues his run with his Split Punch / Wing Chun EP out on Gud Vibrations. Split Punch / Wing Chun is a two-sided endeavor with the titular tracks making up its entirety. Saka has used this EP as a vessel for his masterful sound design, as every moment subverts expectations. The inspiration for “Split Punch” comes from a spell in Final Fantasy Tactics by the same name, whereas “Wing Chun” was inspired by the kung-fu film series Ip Man.  “Split Punch” ominou...

NGHTMRE and KLAXX Join Forces on Wild New Single “Falling”

We have officially received our first NGHTMRE single of the year. The release, called “Falling,” comes in partnership with San Diego-based producer KLAXX and arrives on Gud Vibrations. “Falling” is an absolute behemoth of a single, and one that takes listeners on a sonic journey. At first, it sounds as if the two artists go for a soaring future bass single. However, after the first break—and a stellar stellar guitar solo—beautiful depravity ensues with a vicious trap drop. Check out the forward-thinking bass tune below and find it across streaming platforms here. NGHTMRE is currently gearing up for the release of his debut album. The Gud Vibrations boss prepped fans for the release by noting it’s going to be like his seminal NGHTMRE EP, but “on steroids....
