Rivers governor reacts as critics fault design of new bridge after truck accident

Critics are subjecting the Okoro-nu-Odu overhead bridge commissioned for use on Monday in Port Harcourt by Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, to scrutiny after the fall of a heavy duty truck that was trying to make a turn under it. Senator Saraki calls for stakeholders’ meeting on solution to insecurity

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has called for a stakeholders meeting to find solution to the problems of insecurity across the country. Ex-Army chief Azubuike Ihejirika joins APC

Former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd), yesterday formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ihejirika, who was the Chief of Army Staff between 2010 and 2014 under former President Goodluck Jonathan, made his declaration to join the APC at Isuikwuato country home in Abia-North senatorial district. Group dismisses Nigerian Army chief’s coup alarm as diversionary
