Drake Endorses “Insane” Upcoming Album From GORDO

Despite dropping two albums in a single year, Drake still managed to find time to tap into what’s new and upcoming.  Praise from the chart-topping rapper is a rarity, but he offered up complements to GORDO for his upcoming album, emphatically calling it “insane” in a recent interview. GORDO landed six of the final production cuts on Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind album, which dropped earlier this year. The album released with little warning and made a splash largely due to Drizzy’s unexpected foray into the house music arena. After retiring his career as Carnage earlier this year, Diamanté Blackmon’s career as GORDO got off to a lightning-quick start after it was announced he’d be taking part in Honestly, Nevermind, Drake...

Drake’s Surprise Album, “Honestly, Nevermind,” Includes Music Produced By Black Coffee and GORDO: Listen

Even GORDO is surprised by the opening act of his new creative chapter.  Is hasn’t even been a week since Diamanté Blackmon hung up his headphones as Carnage, laying his longtime moinker to rest with his final show in Australia on June 11th. While his initial retirement announcement several weeks earlier left some room for speculation as to what the DJ’s future would look like while continuing his career as GORDO, we now have our first revealing glimpse.  In a surprise announcement yesterday, Drake revealed his seventh studio album Honestly, Nevermind, just nine months after the release of Certified Lover Boy. Drizzy’s earth-shaking news was immediately followed by an equally intriguing reveal from GORDO, who produced six songs from the surprise a...

Meet Nebula, Manhattan’s Biggest Nightclub to Open Since 2020

Something big is coming to New York City’s 10036. The biggest, actually, since before the pandemic.  This weekend, a brand new nightclub called Nebula will open in the heart of Times Square with performances from GORDO (Carnage’s house music alias) and Purple Disco Machine. It will be the largest nightlife space to open in the city for over a year.  Featuring a 5,500-square foot dance floor and a moving ceiling built out with video panels, the venue’s specs are practically unmatched when it comes to Manhattan nightlife. And, with a maximum capacity of only 700 people, clubbers should be able to avoid being packed like sardines.  Also taking the stage at Nebula this month will be Malaa on October 28th and Camelphat on October 30th. The club...

Carnage Debuts New House Alias GORDO, Drops First Single “KTN”: Listen

With the release of his new single “KTN,” Carnage has just unveiled perhaps the most pivotal release of his career. Returning to Ultra Records for the release, he has also dropped the curtain on GORDO, his new house music alias. The change seems to be a welcome one from Carnage’s contemporaries. Yesterday, the 30-year-old producer shared a teaser of “KTN” that showed off early support from a slew of the most prominent names in electronic dance music, including Sebastian Ingrosso, David Guetta, Tiësto, A-Trak, and DJ Snake, among many others. Perhaps no one said it better than Chicago house music legend Felix da Housecat, who told Carnage, “So glad you made this transition.” “KTN,” which features CarnageR...
