Getter’s Next EP Will “Blow NAPALM Out of the Water”

Getter‘s fanbase is still buzzing after the explosive release of NAPALM, which dropped October 30th via his Shred Collective banner. With its hard-hitting bass flavors and unique tinctures of experimental sound design, the six-track project was well-deserving of its fiery namesake. Now, Getter is promising another EP that “blows NAPALM out of the water,” he said in a tweet. All we’re waiting on is for the producer to replace a busted laptop so he can finish up the music.  In a recent interview, Getter told EDM.com he is looking to showcase the different kinds of sounds he’s been pursuing through a series of EPs, meaning more surprise releases like this upcoming project can be expected in the future.  “Whatever the fuck I wanna make and put...

Watch Oliver Tree’s Wild Performance of Unreleased, Getter-Produced Song on Colbert

While Oliver Tree‘s music alone has garnered him a loyal fanbase, he’s also made a name for himself with his unique style, music videos, live performances, and interviews. On October 30th, the eccentric crooner appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colberti, where he made his own political statement in the form of a surreal performance of his unreleased track “Life Goes On,” produced by Getter. Oliver Tree himself has claimed the performance was “too controversial for live television,” as it includes two actors dressed as presidential candidates Joe Biden and Donald Trump as well as an appearance from collaborator Little Ricky ZR3. All three perform alongside the singer on a set that appears to be a debate stage. Oliver TreeR...

Getter Returns With Experimental Six-Track EP, “NAPALM”: “It’s My Mind on a Canvas” [Interview]

If there’s one artist in electronic music who knows how to be bold and unapologetic with their releases, it’s Getter. From face-melting bass and trap sounds to melodic, nuanced songs, the producer has done it all. Now, with the release of his latest EP, NAPALM, out today his own Shred Collective banner, Getter has once again proven his dedication to putting out whatever music he’s feeling in the moment—and it’s certainly paid off.  While NAPALM is composed of less than 15 minutes of music, its six tracks are compelling and magnetic, demanding attention with each song’s heavy punch of experimental sonics and idiosyncratic character. The previously released “BAD ACID,” with its cyberpunk-infused trap, and “ADHD,” the s...

While almost nothing is known about the EP, it’s still an incredibly exciting announcement for fans who have been patiently waiting.  The last major electronic music-focused project we saw from Getter was his phenomenal 2018 album, Visceral. Since then,...
