The victory helped Union Berlin to retain their place in the German Bundesliga for next season, despite enduring disappointing results for the most part of the campaign. Anthony Ujah gave Union Berlin lead in the 26th minute and it was his third Bundesliga goal of the season. Taiwo Awoniyi has thanked Mainz 05 medical team for helping to save his life after a close shave with death during Sunday’s German Bundesliga matchday 31 tie between Mainz and Augsburg at Opel Arena. Awoniyi was concussed after a clash of head with Augsburg defender Felix Uduokhai and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he completed his recovery. The 22-year-old who will miss Mainz 05 next Bundesliga fixture against Borussia Dortmund spoke through his club’s official website, and thank everyone who played their part in keeping him alive. Nigerian winger Victor Moses is delighted to be back in training with his Italian club Inter Milan. The former Nigerian international flown back to Italy last week after the Italian government agreed to allow teams to return to training as they prepare to restart the season. The 2019/2020 Italian Serie season and other sporting activities were suspended back in March, following the coronavirus pandemic which have ravaged the country.
