Netflix has unveiled the first game that it will be debuting from its partnership with Ubisoft. Valiant Hearts: Coming Home is a mobile title, available exclusively to Netflix subscribers in 2023, following its world premiere at The Game Awards. Valiant Hearts is set during World War I, painting a harrowing and emotional narrative about sacrifice, friendship and the struggle to survive. The game follows four different heroes and their experiences in the war. Netflix says the game pays tribute to the Harlem Hellfighters, the first African American infantry unit to fight in WWI. Players will embark on a series of challenges, difficult choices and exploration, all of which are underlined with themes of brotherhood and unity. The official date for the release of Diablo IV has just been confirmed by Blizzard Entertainment. Thought to originally be slated for an April release date next year, a new cinematic trailer revealed at The Game Awards indicates that the official date is June 6, 2023. In the epic teaser, we see the ongoing Eternal Conflict of heaven and hell where soldiers are doing battle against the demon spawn of hell. Things get interesting when Inarius shows off his power and approaches the battlefield on his own to hunt down Lilith. If the game is as dark as the trailer, fans that grew up with the franchise are in for a treat when this game drops. Hideo Kojima‘s next project has just been revealed at this years Game Awards and it is in fact a sequel to Death Stranding. Teased as Death Stranding 2 (Working Title), Kojima revealed that the follow-up game was already in the works prior to the global pandemic, but was forced to rewrite the entire story as he was tired of “predicting the future.” He elaborated on the notion with, “I had the story written before the pandemic, but after experiencing the pandemic, I rewrote the whole thing from scratch. Riot Games is suing Chinese technology company NetEase over its alleged copycat version of Valorant, Law360 reported. Riot is claiming that NetEase’s mobile title Hyper Front rips off Valorant’s game maps, weapon designs, characters, charms and other elements. Hyper Front is a free-to-play first-person shooter that pits teams of five against one another in a variety of modes. The game debuted in 2022, roughly two years after Riot launched Valorant. Per the report, Riot says NetEase began development of Hyper Front shortly after an early version of Valorant dubbed “Project A” was revealed in late 2019. The reveal trailer for the renowned fighting game surfaced this past September – teasing Kazuya Mishima’s return via a battle between him and his son, Jin Kazama. Whereas the reveal trailer got fans excited just with the announcement alone, the new trailer offers a closer look at the story and gameplay of the forthcoming title. Riot Games is bringing League of Legends to Xbox Game Pass. The game studio first teased that it would be rolling out titles to the Pass in June and has now given its subscribers a concrete date for when they’ll be able to access some of their favorite titles. On Monday, December 12, Game Pass will debut League of Legends, Valorant and Legends of Runeterra, as well as a few other titles. Players will have full access to League of Legends on PC with all 162 champions unlocked and will also receive a 20% XP bonus. Valorant will come with all 18 agents unlocked and its own 20% boost for Battle Pass, Event Pass and active Agent Contract.
