Over the weekend, a new Dead Island 2 character teaser trailer has been dropped. Posted on the game’s official Twitter page, the teaser reveals essential background information on Ryan, one of the six playable characters in the new game. Including Ryan, only three characters have been officially revealed in a “Meet the Slayers” trailer format so far, with the first being stuntman Jacob, followed by Amy, an athlete. Earlier this week, Nexon surprised fans with the announcement that Crazyracing KartRider is going to be shut down after 18 years of play. Announced back in 2004, the online PC racing game captivated gamers with its “Crazy Arcade” styling, fantasy vehicles, and branded game models. “We have decided to shut down the KartRider service,” wrote Cho Jae-yun, Director of KartRider at the game’s developer and Nexon subsidiary Nitro Studio in a post. “We were initially planning to give you the news, being as grave and important as it is, through a livestream on Jan. 5 after the final round of the 2022 KartRider League Super Cup competition. Faced with great demand during a global supply chain shortage these past years, the PS5 was impossible to get for some, while others either lucked out or paid a premium for the console. IO Interactive has decided to merge all three Hitman games into one title, named World of Assassination. The news was confirmed on the game developer’s website in an announcement that listed major changes to the franchise, due to come into effect later this month. Starting January 26, a free upgrade to World of Assassination will be available for owners of the Hitman 3 game, with access to the two preceding games available via the Access Pass system.
