G-Eazy Arrested For Early Morning Brawl During Fashion Week

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Axelle/Bauer-Griffin / Getty At first glance G-Eazy doesn’t exactly strike fear into the hearts of men (or some women), but apparently the man isn’t shy about putting paws on people who he feels step outta line. According to Page Six, the “No Limit” artist was booked and charged by NYPD on Monday (Sept. 13) after partaking in a bruhaha this past Friday morning following some Fashion Week parties at Le Bain and the Boom Boom Room. “Sources told us that at around 12:40 a.m. “something set someone off” and in the ensuing melee someone in G-Eazy’s crew ended up hitting socialite Daniel Chetrit — who is the son of real estate developer Joseph Chetrit and whose famous pals include Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid — over the head with a bottle.” Police t...

G-Eazy Drops New Marshmello-Produced Track “Stan By Me”

Ahead of the release of his upcoming album Everything’s Strange Here, G-Eazy has reunited with Marshmello for the poolside singalong, “Stan By Me.” Released just one week after the debut single from the album, “Free Porn Cheap Drugs,” G-Eazy’s shift in style is very apparent. While his songs are traditionally rapped, his two newest releases see him show off his singing voice.  Despite being produced by one of EDM’s biggest names, the track is not electronic in nature. The masked producer flaunts his production flexibility with a gentle, guitar-led groove intertwined with bubbly drums that can’t help but make you think of the beach. “Stan By Me” is not the first time these two artists have collaborated. G-Eazy Covers Bob Dylan and the xx in Latest Quarantine Session

G-Eazy is continuing to show his inner rocker with a new batch of quarantine covers. This time, the rapper took on the xx’s 2009 single “VCR” and Bob Dylan’s classic 1963 track “Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright.” The first cover stays surprisingly true to the original, sans guitar. Producer Christoph Andersson reproduced the song’s electronic elements, with G-Eazy’s auto-tuned voice layered softly on top, mimicking Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim’s whisper-like vocals. The Dylan cover follows a similar format, with Andersson’s dreamy electronics and G-Eazy singing softly. Listen to both covers below. Last month, G-Eazy put his spin on Radiohead’s “Creep,” with help from actress Ashley Benson, and the Beatles’ deep cut “I’m So Tired.” The rapper and Pretty Little Liars star ha...
