Bauchi governor sacks commissioners, SSG, chief of staff, advisers
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has approved with immediate effect the dissolution the State Executive Council (SEC). The affected political appointees included the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff (COS) and all Special Advisers except the Special Adviser Security, Special Adviser National and State Assembly Liaison, Special Adviser Social Investment and Special Adviser Media and Publicity. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, has expressed joy over the defection of the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying the party is opened to all. The federal government has launched a portal for exited N-Power beneficiaries to apply for Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, empowerment options. Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, which announced the launch of the portal in a statement, explained that the platform was developed in collaboration with the CBN.
